The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject. Each student has different needs and different abilities. It's just a matter of getting to know the student, in order to identify both the weaknesses and strengths on which to work.

The past twenty years have been revolutionary for music production. Nowadays you can record, produce and release your own music with your laptop and some simple peripherals. This is done with a music program called a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) in which you can edit sound. But as everyone has noticed who starts such a program: it's not easy! Hundreds of buttons and menus and a specific workflow ensure that you do not just get the sound you want. I use and teach two of the most widely used DAWs: Ableton Live and Studio One, which take us through all the steps from recording sound, using samples to editing and mixing. Due to my studies at the Rock Academy and the Musicology department of the UU and my more than ten years of experience as a professional guitarist, bassist and music producer, I have extensive knowledge of all aspects of the professional field.

My language lessons are always tailored to the student. I provide interaction, the pupil will be encouraged from the start to experiment with the Dutch language, always within the pupil's own perception of the world, so that what is learned is placed in a personal context and automatically supplemented with elements that are specific to the pupil. Hi! I am a composer and music producer with a master degree in Music & Technology from HKU. I teach music theory and (optionally) piano technique to aspiring songwriters, music producers, composers, and anyone else who's curious. My lessons are tailored to what fascinates you in music. In the first few lessons we will focus on foundations of music theory and technique, so that soon you will be ready to learn songs of your choice and understand them from a music theory standpoint. You will also learn how to apply theory concepts creatively in composition and improvisation. Besides in-person lessons, you will have access to all my materials. I was lucky enough to have very good teachers throughout my education and now I want to pass on my knowledge to my students.
