Trusted teacher: My personal goal is to share the experience of "health, happiness, and harmony in life through yoga" (Swami Niranjanananda's guideline) with others. I firmly believe that yoga is a powerful tool to promote physical and mental well-being, find inner peace, and lead a balanced life. This philosophy flows into my teaching and inspires my students to begin their own journey towards greater well-being and harmony. After practicing yoga intensively since 2008, both in Satyananda ashrams in Greece and India, as well as daily as a personal sadhana, and initiated in Karma Sannyasa by Swami Satyasangananda Saraswati, my heart has been even more dedicated to the Satyananda system of yoga. My yogic name (Sannyasin) reflects my deep connection to this tradition. My commitment to yoga is also evident in my continuous education. Since 2008, I have been participating in numerous yoga and meditation workshops and seminars in Europe and India. In 2024, I successfully completed my Yoga Alliance training in Vienna, further refining my skills as a yoga teacher. For the past year, I have been teaching yoga privately to adults, gaining valuable experience in imparting yoga practices. My passion for yoga, coupled with my musical background, allows me to create unique and inspiring yoga classes. My academic career includes a Master's degree in Musicology with a specialization in Music Education, as well as various Bachelor's degrees in Classical Piano, Opera Singing, Music Composition, and Theory. As a flutist and passionate kirtan singer, I bring a special musical touch to the yoga practice. A special advantage is my ability to teach yoga primarily in English and Greek. These language skills allow me to reach a wide range of students and offer international classes. As a yoga teacher, I pass on my knowledge as follows: -Creating an inviting atmosphere -Structure of the lesson: Starting with mantras chanting, asanas, pranayamas, relaxation (Satyananda System of Yoga) -Clear guidance and demonstration when necessary -Addressing students individually -Conveying yoga philosophy -Motivating and inspiring -Being authentic and leading by example -Open to questions and feedback

Trusted teacher: I am an experienced mathematics and physics teacher with state-recognized bachelor's, teacher training, and master's degrees. I am currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in mathematics education. My classes are designed for those who want to overcome their learning difficulties (and have fun doing it), with a patient teacher committed to student development, which benefits their entire education. I strive to give my students the opportunity to discover how mathematics is present in everyday human life (to help people meet their basic needs) and in nature. Everyone can develop their gifts and talents, and my classes provide the appropriate environment for this. I try to explain the content of the theory and its applications whenever possible, demonstrating the relationship between this content and the human needs that have led to its historical development. I try to help students successfully solve problems related to the theories by guiding them step by step through the solution (to promote their competence, autonomy, and confidence in problem-solving), by asking questions, and, when necessary, by providing further examples and explanations that can lead to a deeper understanding. In my classes, there is no criticism or pressure, there's no room for fear of making mistakes (mistakes are part of our learning process). The atmosphere is joyful and healthy, which encourages students to be themselves and feel free to learn, explore, and ask questions in peace and joy. My role as a teacher is to provide conditions and resources that better enable me to help students develop themselves and their potential to the fullest.

Trusted teacher: Athanasia is an award-winning composer and pianist, originally from Greece. Athanasia has 7 years of experience in teaching piano privately. She can teach in English, and German. She is passionate about teaching as she feels it as her obligation to give back some of the knowledge, she has received from her own music teachers! She also finds teaching to be a stimulating experience and loves learning from her own students. She believes that learning is a never-ending process for a musician, and hopes to spend her life playing, writing, and learning more about music! Since October 2023, he is a PhD candidate at the Doctor Artium at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. In 2020, she completed her studies in Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music. In 2017 she obtained a Diploma in Piano Performance from the Dimitris Demopoulos Music School, in Kozani, Greece. Teaching Piano Athanasia teaches piano from beginners to advanced. All ages welcome! She believes in teaching in a way that encourages and emphasises every student's musical strong suits; everyone has their own musical personality and the role of a teacher is to bring that out and facilitate the student's own personal growth. Athanasia's priority, especially for beginner students, is to make sure they are on firm grounds with technique, music theory and music-reading skills. However, she is always careful not to inhibit the student’s natural musicality with an overload of technical information; balance between musicality and technique is key. She is also in favour of introducing sight-reading quite early on, as she thinks that the earlier a student takes it up, the easier and less daunting it will be for them in the long run. Since she is a composer, Athanasia is also enthusiastic about introducing her piano students to improvisation and composition. She finds that it is good activities especially for younger students, as it helps establish a more intuitive, natural relationship with the instrument. Not to mention it is very fun! A typical lesson would begin with the student performing the work(s)/study(s) they have been working on for the past week. Then Athanasia will make some comments, and together student and teacher work on improving the performance, in terms of technical problems, reading difficulties and musicality. Depending on the duration of the lesson, there might also be a short sight-reading and an improvisation session. At the end of the lesson, the new goal for the week will be set. Genre Athanasia specialises in classical music, but can also teach beginner level in pop/rock genres. First Lesson In the first piano lesson, Athanasia likes to have a chat with the new student. She introduces herself, and asks the student to speak about themselves. She is also interested to know more about their musical background (if any), and the reasons why they want to take up piano. It is important for Athanasia to know from the start what the student's intentions are, i.e. if it is a hobby for them, if they have professional aspirations, or if they are not sure yet! She then usually introduces the student to some basic knowledge on the structure of the piano, such as the sound- producing mechanism, the names of the parts etc; the piano is quite a complex, big instrument and can look quite daunting, so a bit of familiarity with it helps start things off. The rest of the content of the first lesson would depend on the level and age of the student. When starting a new activity, it always takes a bit of time to feel familiarity. For the first few lessons, Athanasia will follow the pace that the new student will be comfortable with. It is important to remember that in music we are all learners, and any beginner should feel as if they have just taken their first step in an exciting long journey!

Fun, relaxed English lessons with a native Oxford English speaker (Vienna)
Bryony

rating green star
I’ve been taking English lessons with Bryony to work on my speaking skills and accent and I couldn’t be happier with the progress so far. She has a really thoughtful and encouraging way of teaching. She notices the little details in pronunciation that make a difference, but never makes it feel intimidating. The lessons are always engaging and tailored to what I need. Highly recommend her if you’re looking to improve your spoken English in a relaxed but professional way!

Vanya is a pleasant, energetic young man and, above all, a true professional! From the very first lesson he nurtured my son’s interest in the accordion, inspiring him to practice daily with genuine enthusiasm. For me, this motivation is the greatest result. I also appreciate the convenience of lessons at home, which makes the learning process even more enjoyable.
