I have acquired both a Bachelor's (NKUA) and a Master's degree (University of Helsinki) in Mathematics. I have further solidified my status as an officially certified math teacher by completing pedagogical studies (University of Helsinki). I offer tutoring for high school and university level Mathematics: please contact me with information on what you need help with. I facilitate online (usually via Zoom) and contact teaching and have significant previous experience in both. -For online teaching, I use a pen tablet where you can follow my writing without having to spend time coping everything down as I can later share the notes with you. This way you can focus more on understanding! -For contact teaching, I use the whiteboard that I have. I am always patient, encourage questions and facilitate in-depth learning. Moreover, I strongly believe that with practice and determination anyone can succeed in Mathematics. My teaching style is interactive: I ask and I am happy to answer lots of questions to ensure that you really understand the topic discussed. You shouldn't be afraid of giving a wrong answer as making mistakes is a crucial part of the learning process! A few subjects that I have coached students in in the past are: mathematics, business economics, economics, arithmetic, accounting/accountancy, cost accounting, managerial accounting, financial accounting, corporate finance, risk management and investments. I give tips on which information is most important, how you can best prepare for the subject, and how you can best read test questions. This method has proven to be very effective! During my sessions I coach almost everyone! From pupils at the vmbo to (almost) graduates at the university, in all financial-economic subjects. Because of this I have developed a coaching structure that is effective, efficient, and fun. During exam training I work with old exams with a focus on the latest developments in the field. In this way I ensure that students get a good grip on the exam material and enter the exams with confidence. During the training I teach the students how an exam is structured so that they feel familiar with the final exam. Tutoring or homework support are designed in consultation. Some pupils or students benefit from doing assignments together, while others need more explanation of the theory.

Tom had given economie lessen to both my children that are on the middle bar school. My kids were lost, going very bad specially in economie and with limited understanding at school lessons. I decided to hire Tom, was difficult to find someone that give lessons to teenagers and that was knowledged. Tom has been with us the last months, my kids began understanding better, getting the point and scoring better at school. Sometimes I could overhear the online lessons or even 'live lessons' when he came home. Tom is great, with lots of patience, straight to the point, know how to explain, never lose the temper. We are very happy and will certainly recommend him. He is very professional and can motivate the students in a very good way. Thanks Tom!

Marko is an amazing teacher and I would definitely recommend him to anyone! He is very patient, organized, kind and smart. Every class he provides the material and it is very useful, because in this way I can repeat from it after the class. Our online lessons really helped me improve and I became so much better! I look forward to my lessons, they did an excellent job at immersing me from day one. I had some basic understanding of composition, vocab etc. and they immediately matched my level of understanding. I don’t feel any time is wasted. Within two minutes of meeting with my tutor, we began learning. I am super impressed by Emna and hope to continue my learning until I am fluent.
