I specialize in teaching English to speakers of other languages with a special interest and focus upon correct accent and pronunciation. However, I also can help to improve a native English speaker's understanding of grammar and the correct usage of punctuation in their written work. I completed my BA(Hons) in African Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Where my focus was on languages, linguistics, phonetics, and religion. Therefore I have the ability to facilitate knowledge within the African Studies field. I have a working knowledge of a number of African languages including Wolof, Hausa, Swahili, and Krio. These study experiences equipped me with a greater knowledge of some of the languages and cultures of Africa, therefore I can create lessons and classes which take into account the student's cultural and linguistic background in which I can develop lessons that focus upon a particular student's needs. I also have, Certificate IV Training and Assessment, Federation University, Australia Certificate IV in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, Kangan Institute, Melbourne, Australia Level 3 Certificate in Delivering Learning, Westminster Kingsway College, London. With these qualifications and my primary and secondary knowledge of African culture and languages, I can create lessons that are engaging, interesting and enjoyable for the students which ultimately will be educationally rewarding for the student.

Trusted teacher: I am an independent English teacher, Today I give lessons to more than ten students per year of all levels (middle school, high school). I intervene for all types of needs and objectives, all equally vast and different as they are! From those who have more or less profound difficulties in the subject, to those who aim for improvement, excellence, through those who have more general concerns in school results and/or their schooling. My method: As far as the methodology is concerned, the courses take place as follows: first we review the course (essential to pass the exercises), we work together on the points that have not been understood, then we exercises (of increasing difficulty). The objective is to restore confidence to the students and this requires an UNSTOPPABLE mastery of the course! Generally I have the lesson recited at the beginning of each lesson, which allows me to know what has been retained and what has been forgotten / misunderstood. Once the student understands and remembers his lesson, the progress is considerable and the student regains self-confidence, which allows him to succeed in the exercises. Finally, I attach great importance to the human, that's why I communicate and exchange a lot with the students, the parents at the end, and outside of class hours.
