It's worth mentioning that I also lived in Switzerland for a few months. Shortly after, during my trip to Europe, I volunteered in Romania, with a German couple (we took care of their horses and their crops), and later at a dog and cat shelter, where I helped communicate with people who wanted to adopt a dog or cat from a German-speaking country. I've been learning German since 2014. My main motivation was German music, although I'm now also interested in other aspects of the language, such as its history, culture, and literature.
