Hi, I’m Ross, an analyst and policy advisor for the UK civil service, currently on a yearlong career break. I’ve been a maths tutor on and off since I was a university student. I’m offering virtual tuition and I’m very flexible with which days for the week and time of day. I have a BSc in Economics and A Level Mathematics and have experience as a teaching assistant at a Secondary School, supporting KS3 and GCSE students and specifically supporting neurodiverse students. I have been working in analysis, applying mathematics and economic skills for 8 years since graduating. I have very positive 1:1 tuition experience with students at KS3 and GCSE level. I have supported students who struggle with mathematics and need support navigating basics, as well as supporting students who are looking to stretch and excel, aiming for the highest grades. My approach is very flexible and patient. I am happy to be led by the student’s needs, working alongside their school curriculum, reviewing work and supporting with homework. I’m equally happy preparing work and exercises based on my assessment of their needs. I offer my services as a teacher particular for homework help as well as for French, Dutch and English. French being my mother tongue, I have no trouble helping people with shortcomings in this area. Concerning English I am of a level C1 + according to the frame common European reference point for languages. My grammar, my conjugation and my vocabulary are therefore of a very good level. Hello to everyone, After two years in preparatory literary classes, specializing in Modern Letters (Lycée Joffre, Montpellier), I am currently studying psychology (L2, Université Rennes 2), after having obtained my license in sociology last year. I have been giving French lessons since the year of my Bac, literary section, obtained with mention TB. I also offered courses during my Erasmus year in Berlin. I like to diversify my courses, being able to return to points of grammar, spelling and conjugation, or start to explain the method of the compound commentary and / or the essay.
