Economics/ 20th Century European History for IB/ A-Levels and IGCSE
From 28.51 € /h
I have two years of experience in teaching economics, to students starting their IGCSEs or even IB students. I myself took IGCSE Economics with IB Economics and thus hold a strong understanding of the course requirements. The subject has always fascinated me and I understood a while back that knowledge in economics isn’t just textbook-oriented, but it requires knowledge of the real world to go in hand with it. In my classes, I combine real-world examples of syllabus statements to provide students with a clearer understanding of how the knowledge gained applies in the real world. I also place a focus on ensuring there’s a strong level of knowledge retention, so with every class I’ll be spending some time ensuring that content learned in the previous lesson is still remembered. I also inquire into the content the student is learning at school to know how to pace my classes, so often students will find me teaching the content they learned in class again to ensure the knowledge is retained, and that can either be through teaching or by going through practice questions. I prefer to teach online as I think the process is more efficient, and the format I use is teaching through presentations created before the class starts. All I simply require is knowledge of what the student is actively learning in class so I can prepare accordingly. I also provide my email address to each student and make it available to access at any time, allowing students to ask questions even outside of class hours
