English Literature is a commonly taught subject in school, but for good reason. The concepts taught in these classes help us learn crucial lessons about our society and ourselves. This is because the themes and traits of character in these books reflect humanity to be more relatable to readers. As a college student who is currently majoring in English & Comparative Literature, I understand and utilize these skills in my college endeavors.
