I am an experienced tutor with 3+ years of experience teaching English Literature and Language to a GCSE, A level and university level. I have been teaching Italian for more than 30 years. I started in Milan, I then went to San Francisco and now here in London. My first lesson with you would be to assess your level and start speaking Italian by writing in the chat if we are on Skype or on your notebook if we meet face to face. I use also paintings to explore vocabulary and if you live here in London, we would meet at the National Gallery for example and explore the Italian language through what we see in the painting.

This course will explore the history and origins of Creole communities around the world. Students will analyze these communities through the lens of identity, music, and food to better understand the unique blend of African, European, Indigenous, and sometimes Asian cultures, that formed a novel, “creole” society. While special focus will be given to French Creole communities, students will also become acquainted with a broader definition of Creole that can be applied to Hispanic, Anglophone Caribbean, and Dutch Caribbean territories.
