About Me
You can pick what you want to learn in my class at the start. So please let me know if you would prefer to learn the Yoruba language, playing African Drums, or learning about Nigerian history.
Yoruba Lessons
- Each lesson will be conversational, my approach is to get you speaking conversational Yoruba.
- You’ll be set weekly tasks, so that you can practice your accent and pronunciation.
- At the end you’ll be able to speak basic Yoruba such as ‘Bawo ni!’
African Drumming
- I will teach you how to play the ‘Talking Drums’. These are drums found across Africa, but it is particular to Yoruba people.
- I’ll also provide you with a performance of new rhythms, which you can practice.
Introduction to Nigerian History
- I will introduce you to the major tribes that make up Nigeria.
- I will teach you pre-Nigeria history and the history leading up to the creation of Nigeria.

Bachelors of Art in History from University of Ibadan - my focus was on African History and the kingdoms in Nigeria prior to its amalgamation.
Currently attaining my Masters in History at University of Chester.
