I was born in Barcelona... a long time ago. I grow up in this town, but now I live a bit far from here. I studied at the University of Barcelona and in Huddersfield (near Shefield, Halifax, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool,...not very far from York: quite nice places and better people), and I've been teaching Catalan, Spanish, Phillsofy, History and English for a long time...since I was 16. Morning shift: Professional Objective: English teacher. Professional experience More than 15 years in several Contact Centers as an Agent or as a Team Leader or Supervisor. Companies: Teletech, Telefono Permanente, MST, Teleperformance and Promofon. As a Team Leader / Supervisor: more than three years in Teleperformance and Promofon, (ONO), making sure the group of Agents were appropriatly trained and equipped to resolve doubts, problems and change requests; makintg sure the team could respond effectively to Account Managers ` requests for further information and , when necessary, take proactive action to ensure they were aware of an issue. I am a multilingual translator who has been working as a language teacher for 4 years now. As my parents are Spanish (Catalan) and French, I am native in the three languages. I have also studied abroad, so I have a C2 level in English (with the Proficiency Certificate). I am a native Spanish speaker from Barcelona, who also speaks English and Catalan fluently. I additionally have some German and French knowledge. I am currently studying at the Denmark University of Technology. We can agree on which kind of classes you would like to take, however, my idea is to focus mainly on vocabulary, conversation, and some writing. My name is Javier and I study at UV, I would like to teach Spanish or Catalan. I study modern languages and literature, so I have an extensive knowledge of languages. Catalan is a romance language used by more than 11 million in Europe. Nowadays Catalan is fashionable because of its social movement in Catalunya, the fame of Barcelona and the multiple touristic attractions. In this course, the learning process is practical and combined with an immersion on the Catalan culture. My method is based in creating visual scenarios in which you will discover the words to use and the right way to make sentences in that situation. Once we can have a small conversation in that scenario, we will repeat it at the next meeting and it will be included in our "refresh quarter" which is a 15 minute revision on all the words and ways of saying that you keep learning. My focus is on connecting the language to your needs and wishes to make sure the learning is well grounded.
