Having been a Head of Mathematics in the UK, Colombia, Thailand and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, I am experienced in examination requirements and investigative and exploratory mathematics.

I am a retired Mathematics teacher, having been a Head of Mathematics in schools in the UK, Colombia, Thailand and at ISHCMC, Vietnam. Having degrees in both engineering and mathematics has enabled me to approach teaching from both a theoretical and a practical real-world perspective, providing a strong basis for examination preparation and for investigative mathematics.
I have students who wish to dictate their own learning objectives and those who wish me to organise a suitable timetable for them, all students being individuals with their own particular needs. An essential aspect of tutoring is to raise the student's confidence level and in consequence foster a positive approach to their learning which translates to improved study techniques in school and enhanced grades.
I only work on a one-to-one basis in the students home.
