This is my own artists statement:

My work is informed and inspired by the wild, folklore, the magic of the everyday and the stories that give us a unique sense of ownership over the land and spaces we visit. My most recent self initiated work explores how image making, writing and ceramics can cohabit to communicate narratives and ideas about women in nature, and the folklore of plants and animals as they relate to symbols of self-realisation and transformation.

MENTORING IN ARTS : Discover how to say something through your artistic work.
I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

CINEMA, ACTING, IMPROVISATION WORKSHOPS - - -
These sessions allow the development of skills and knowledge of the trade, with the game facing the camera, familiarization with the audiovisual environment and the camera tool, in the art of acting. Your inventiveness and your uniqueness being at the center of your training, it is a question of dwelling on the objective criteria, such as the voice, the use of the body, the relationship with the partner, the capacity to occupy the space. But it is also the singularity and the commitment that are decisive. The objective of this training is to be able to: - Analyze and dissect a text - Create, develop and embody a character - Understand the artistic and technical writings of a film or a play - Create, cultivate and develop one's artistic identity and singularity (...) Through simulations and role-playing, the association between theory and practice makes it possible to achieve its objectives. PLACES : - Locations: Geneva - Lausanne - Friborg - Neuchâtel - Montreux - Basel - Sion - Sierre - Morges - Bienne. But currently and until further notice, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions, for which you have asked me, also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). Indeed, they have the advantage of face-to-face sessions (ex: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time) with additional advantages (ex: the entire session transcribed in writing on the chat). That is why, at your request, I continue to offer this option. - As other people do regularly, you can also please your loved ones by offering gift vouchers available all year round. THE TRAINER From a Grande Ecole post-preparatory class in France & Ivy League University in the United States, our teacher has specialized and has worked for more than 14 years in the field, in international establishments, intervening in forums and conferences. Visual Arts: digital arts, oil and acrylic painting, and drawing
Every class is suited towards your skill level and needs. If you're interested in digital art, you can learn how to create digital arts using Krita, a free digital arts software that I highly recommend for it's tools and features similar to that of Photoshop's. If you already experimented on your own software, I will help you with rendering, anatomy, and composition. If you're interested in painting, I can provide materials if needed. I am experienced with both oil painting and acrylic painting. I can help you create both Fine Arts, or illustration. About me: Hello, my name is Jacey and I'm currently attending NYU to get my certification to teach visual arts K-12. The reason I want to become an art teacher is to help students develop their own style. Everybody has their own habits and tendencies when making art, and I want to help you thrive using your own style– or, if you want to become the master of realism and copying, I can help with that too. Every artists has their own goals! I also believe in creating art as a way of a stress-reliever. Discover your way of drawing for all levels. Sketching, perspective, spatial imagination and intuitive drawing.
I have academic teaching experience from the TU Eindhoven, where I graduated in architecture. I can teach you how to construct perspective, make concept sketches, but also how to overcome a creative block by working with the non-dominant (creative) part of your brain. My goal is to share my knowledge and passion for drawing while supporting you on your own creative path. I will focus on what feels natural for your growth. Individual approach is key to my method. Everyone can learn how to draw. You can, too! It is your unique perception, that calls you to be expressed on paper. Listen to that voice. Allow yourself to take care of your creative dream! Creative Illustration and the Fundamentals of Drawing
I'll be teaching you the subjects I can see you have most difficulty with - be it figure drawing, perspective, concept art or even going back to fundamentals as a reminder. I do both traditional and digital art, so I can also teach you how to move from one media to another without fear! Before our first lesson - Do you have time for homework? - Do you prefer a more objective explanation as opposed to a more detailed one? - Do you prefer learning all the theory first and then practicing later all at once, or to take it in small chunks? - How experienced are you in art? - Do you prefer a more casual class or one that challenges you every time? Just a tiny PSA - if you're starting out from the very beginning with the fundamentals, please bear with me for a couple of classes because it will probably be super boring at first! I'll try to make it as entertaining as possible, but I'm (painfully) aware of how dull the more technical subjects can be. I PROMISE it will get better. Pinky promise.
