¡Hola! I’m Sofía, a 27-year-old teacher of Spanish and English as foreign languages. I love meeting new people and helping them achieve their learning goals. Patience and empathy are key when it comes to teaching and my priority is to make my students feel comfortable and not afraid of making mistakes.

I graduated from the Teaching English as a Foreign Language program at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso in Chile. I got my master’s degree in Spanish from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Spain.

I am a certified Spanish teacher and an official DELE examiner at the Instituto Cervantes. I hold a Master's degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language and another in International Education and Bilingualism. I am also an IB teaching certified professional. English-language videos go much more viral on TikTok and Instagram, naturally raising the question of whether speaking the language is advantageous. Many claim to be able to speak English simply by watching short videos, but ultimately, a deeper understanding is crucial. I studied English from third to tenth grade at a grammar school and consistently earned top marks.
