I am an incoming student at Codarts Conservatory and have a background in various music styles, improvisation, and composition. As a passionate and professional musician, I help you develop your innate talent for music-making and give you the space to develop your own musicality with heart and passion. Each lesson brings something new and will foster the development of your creativity and musical proficiency while having fun. Lessons are interactive, spontaneous, structured, and follow your natural curiosity and innate musical capabilities. My methods are tailored to the individual needs and goals of the students. I am particularly interested in the Kodaly and Faber methods of teaching music. Lessons are for children and adults of all ages. I have been playing piano since I was nine years old. But from highschool I studied bassoon along with piano as a secondary instrument. Since highschool and university I have been giving piano lessons for children and adults along with my studies. Hey! My name is Daan and I am a keyboard player, producer and songwriter and I am happy to teach piano at your home in Amsterdam. I graduated from the Conservatory of Amsterdam pop department and am also very active in bands (as a keyboardist, singer, guitarist, bassist and drummer) and as a producer/songwriter in various genres. As a teacher, I am mainly concerned with what the student wants to achieve and what can be gotten out of the student. Do you want to learn that one new song by Billie Eilish, or an advanced piece by Stevie Wonder; I can always help you. The great thing about music is that you can learn and perform it at all kinds of levels. My job is to find the right level for the right student, so that progress can be made at the same time as there is fun during the lessons. In addition, I find it important that my students not only play the piano, but also understand the music and build up a knowledge of the music theory behind the pieces. Hi my name is Osian and I’m a cellist from South Wales. I’ve taught children of many ages and standards and I really feel privileged to be a part of someone’s musical and personal development. Music lessons can be a way of reaching the concert platform or it could be a way of expressing yourself and being creative, wether it’s a career path or not. I grew up playing and singing where my first priority was to fall in love with music and learn to perform it to the best standard that I could do and that’s what I’d like to encourage my students to aim for too. I studied at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague and I just completed a master in Vocals and Piano at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I give Jazz/Pop/Classical Piano lessons but my main goal is to try to give the student a general understanding of the music to approach every style and to have fun with music! Hello there! My name is Antek and i'm a cellist and composer who graduated from Conservatorium van Amsterdam. As a cellist I've had the pleasure and honour of collaborating with renowned artists such as Hans Zimmer, being part of his 2022 European Tour Orchestra, touring over 15 countries and playing in locations such as London's O2 Arena or Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. I am now mainly active as a performer of contemporary/experimental music, as well as classical music, freelancing in various orchestras in the Netherlands, having played in venues such as Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Concertgebouw or TivoliVredenburg. I offer cello lessons, regardless of the level - whether you are a curious beginner or more advanced player, i'm happy to collaborate and share my knowledge and experience with you, as well as inspire your creativity regarding both playing the right notes, and making artistic choices. I can also help you prepare for conservatory entrance exams by providing Solfege, Ear-training and General Music Theory lessons. As a composer, I'm currently pursuing a degree at Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. I can help you work on your ideas, and how to write them down, to sound exactly how you want them to sound. That includes tutorials on engraving rules, orchestration, working in DAWs (Ableton) and using sheet music software (Sibelius, MuseScore), as well as building your craft and workflow. Thanks to my years of experience in being an orchestra member and soloist, I am also familiar with orchestral music.
