Some of the topics may include: - Accompaniment of songs. - Playing solos (Rock/Pop) - Jazz and improvisation - Classical music - Harmony, counterpoint, and music theory. Composition. I have a pre-meeting with the student, where we get to know each other, talk about music and other interests, and then create a personalized study plan for the first classes. Hello! My name is Matei, I am 21 years old, I have been studying guitar for over a decade and I have 5 years of experience in the teaching domain. I am currently studying jazz at the Jam Music Lab conservatory in Vienna. I have studied classical guitar for 5 years, electric guitar for another 5 years, and jazz guitar for 3 years. I can teach you music theory concepts ranging from fundamentals like chords, intervals, scales, and arpeggios to the more advanced: circle of fifths, modes, tensions, and triads. Regarding the technical aspect of guitar playing, I can create a good practice routine for the improvement of different styles of playing such as alternate picking, fingerpicking, legato, taping, hybrid picking, economy picking, etc. Although these concepts may sound frightening at first, I can help you understand them more easily. The lessons are thought to be suitable for beginners who never picked up a guitar before, intermediate players who know some songs and fundamentals but don't know what to do next, and advanced players who want to deepen their skills. I can also help you build a good foundation for improvising over any tune you like, help you master composition, and teach you music-making and recording programs such as Reaper, to be able to start your solo projects. I will provide my personal insights regarding what I think you should improve, but I can also just help you learn something specific like a song you want to play.

Music Theory & Ear Training | Songwriting, Arrangement & (Home) Recording | Individual or duo lessons with group discount | Band coaching for popular music | Music University Theory Exam Preparation | On the bass, you accomplish heroic things in the background: Since the human ear organizes music from low to high, ... the bass determines how chords are heard. He is also the link between rhythm and harmonies in the ensemble. From this great power comes great responsibility! With me you will learn to deal with this responsibility. We play your favorite music and expand your musical horizons by promoting your expression, hearing and creativity. In addition, we work on your technique, rhythm, coordination, imagination and your musical knowledge, so that you can develop your musical skills more and more independently and more freely (with or without notes) step by step. I also teach electric guitar, piano and ukulele for beginners in a public music school. I am happy to pass on my experiences there in private lessons. I will put together an individual practice program for you and teach you your favorite songs.

I am a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music has been featured in publications such as The Huffington Post, BBC and WRAL. I have written and co-written songs that have accumulated tens of millions of streams. I am represented by Kobalt/AWAL (Lauv, Bruno Major, Tom Misch), Maximal Music Sync (Candi Staton, North Star Media), Music Table South Korea, and Sixtyfour Music London and have co-written with Richard Walters (Declan J Donovan, 3lau, Alison Moyet, Grey's Anatomy, CSI) and breakout Dutch artist Judy Blank. Alongside releasing my own material, I am also a session pianist, writer and guitar player who has worked for many clients in studios both in Europe and the States, as well as on tours worldwide including major festival slots and tours in the UK, Europe and the States. ---------- I primarily am interested in teaching people to develop their own sense of artistic identity, and am keen to mentor pupils who are already making headway in their own progress as a musician or in the music industry. I am able to offer key insights into the industry that many other teachers aren't able to, and I am passionate about people who are passionate about music. I consider my experience incredibly valuable to those serious about making headway in the industry and see my classes to be more of a personal and bespoke teaching service than traditional piano/guitar lessons, and have a slightly higher price point accordingly. I have also achieved Grade 8 (ABRSM) in piano. I am moving back to Vienna in April, and will be taking on students from mid-April onwards. ---------- I have been tutoring for the past 6 years, and have had pupils of all skill levels and ages. I have taken pupils through traditional grading in the UK (both ABRSM and Rockschool) and also taught people who are only interested in learning an instrument vocationally. Over these years I have helped pupils develop proficiency and passion in piano, guitar, songwriting, production, as well as offering advice on booking tours, forming bands, and helping develop a sense of musical identity. ---------- My approach to each client is unique, but I primarily focus on encouraging artistic expression and open communication in my sessions. I value the ability to give others the opportunity to create, and I like to treat my lessons as a safe space for ideas, for singing, for performing, and for chatting about all things musical. I look forward to hearing from you.

Whether you're picking up the guitar for the first time, returning to playing as an adult, or building on skills you already have, my lessons focus on helping you develop a strong musical foundation, build confidence, and play real songs you enjoy. Many people begin learning guitar by memorizing a few chords or songs, but understanding how music works makes it much easier to keep progressing. In my lessons, I'll guide you step-by-step, so they develop the skills and knowledge you need to learn new songs independently over time. Through practical, song-based learning, you'll develop essential skills like chords, rhythm, technique, and musical understanding. Each lesson is personalized to your goals, interests, and learning pace. I'm also passionate about helping families connect through music! I offer family guitar lessons for parents and children, as well as siblings who want to learn guitar together. Whether you're all complete beginners or have different levels of experience, we'll build skills step by step and learn to play guitar together. My goal is to help your family make music a fun, shared experience while growing in confidence and musical ability. I believe learning music should be both rewarding and enjoyable. I'll meet you where you are, encourage you through challenges, and celebrate your progress in a supportive environment where you feel comfortable learning, experimenting, and making mistakes.
