Je pratique les échecs depuis l’âge de 4 ans. À partir de mes 8 ans, j’ai eu l’opportunité de me former pendant plusieurs années auprès de certains des meilleurs professeurs d’échecs français, ce qui m'a permis d'acquérir des connaissances solides et une méthode de réflexion que je souhaite transmettre à mes élèves.
J'ai décroché titre de Maître Fide Féminin (+2100 Elo).
Je n'ai pas de diplôme d'enseignante puisque j'ai réalisé des études en communication, en revanche j'adore transmettre et encore plus lorsqu'il s'agit de ma passion : les échecs. :)

Experience / Qualifications

Professeure et coach au Pôle Espoir de Bretagne, j’encadre des cours collectifs auprès de sportifs engagés dans un parcours de performance.

J’enseigne également en cours particuliers à des élèves âgés de 8 à 65 ans, en adaptant ma pédagogie aux objectifs de chacun, du loisir à la compétition.

Je m’appelle Daniil, et les échecs font partie de ma vie depuis mes 5 ans. Passionné par ce jeu fascinant depuis mon enfance, j'ai disputé des centaines de compétitions, et remporté des dizaines de tournois jeunes et adultes.
Depuis 10 ans, je partage ma passion des échecs en tant que professeur dans divers environnements : clubs, écoles primaires, collèges, cours particuliers, associations. J’enseigne également en anglais et en russe.
Par ailleurs, je suis diplômé de la Sorbonne avec un Master en stratégie internationale et intelligence économique.

Ma méthode est basée sur une solide expérience d'enseignement et s’appuie sur une approche complète et structurée, adaptée à tous les niveaux. Elle repose sur trois axes principaux :

1. Apprentissage des bases fondamentales : apprenez ou consolidez les principes essentiels dans l'ouverture, le milieu de jeu et les finales.
2. Tactique et stratégie : développez votre sens du jeu avec des exercices ciblés, ludiques et pratiques.

Hi, my name is Gabriel. I'm the head coach of the chess team of the National University of Mexico (UNAM) since 2010. I speak fluent English as I lived six years in Oxford, England, when I was a child and I practice it since then.

With the UNAM's team I have obtained the following titles:
National Women's Championship: 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019
National Men's Championship: 2018, 2019
Absolute National Championship: 2018, 2019
Panamerican 2013 in Durango: silver medal

I also have extensive experience with players of all ages and levels. Here is a list of the places where I have worked:

I have over 30 years of experience playing chess. I am a Latvian Candidate Master with an international FIDE rating of 2059 and an English Chess Federation rating of 2120, and an online rating of 2400, reflecting a strong competitive level. I particularly excel in blitz and rapid formats. My greatest competitive achievement is winning 1st place at the English Open Women & Girls Rapid Championship in 2019.

I'm a 2000 FIDE-rated coach who's helped kids at youth championships for years, and I got trained on how to actually teach by one of Europe's best coaches. So I've put together these sessions to make things practical and straightforward.

We'll work on building a clear way to think during games, spotting tactics fast, getting key ideas like pawn structure and piece play, reviewing your own games to fix mistakes, and setting up solid openings and endgames that actually win you games. Chess is much more than a game. It is a powerful tool for developing strategic thinking, concentration, creativity, and decision-making skills that are useful both on the board and in everyday life.

In my lessons, I focus not only on teaching the rules and theory of chess, but on helping students understand the logic behind every move. We work on improving calculation, pattern recognition, positional understanding, and practical decision-making during real games. My goal is to help students think independently and confidently at the board.

Lessons are adapted to the level and goals of each student. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of the game, including piece movement, basic tactics, checkmates, and essential strategic ideas.
