I am a classical percussionist and a drummer, with many years of teaching and playing experience. I completed a Bachelor and a Master course in classical percussion in Italy, now I am studying a Master in Jazz & Pop drums at the HKU in Utrecht.
I have an excellent knowledge of musical theory due to my studies and I love teaching because sharing my passion with others is important to me. I have experience teaching many students, between the ages of 5 and 50, since I was 18. I taught in two music schools, led projects in kindergartens and gave percussion instrument lessons in high schools. I trained students as percussionists in two school orchestras. Additionally, I used to write and produce learning materials with my students, to encourage accessible learning.
My main teaching objective is to help students to find their personal way of playing and studying, without forgetting the most important thing; having fun. I understand that music should be fun, and those students not having fun will not get the best results. I usually start my lesson with the basics such as reading music, holding sticks and posture. I evaluate the student’s strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to reflect and evoke healthy self-criticism, to help them improve with a positive attitude.
I always try to inspire my students, and at the same time I am inspired by them, as by playing music together we can learn a lot from each other. Whilst my students have learned a lot from me, likewise, I have learned a lot from my students and this has been very valuable to my development.
I believe I would be an asset to you, because I am a flexible, open minded, experienced teacher.

Expérience / Qualifications
Davide (born August 17, 1995) is an Italian drummer and classical percussionist.
His love for music was born when he saw a friend of his playing. He liked it so much that he knew he wanted to be a musician too.
Combining the classical sound research with jazz-influenced improvisational sensibilities and funky-pocket grooves with sophisticated electronic sounds, Davide's drumming has landed him gigs with vastly varied artists.
Davide started playing the drums at the age of 11 after some piano lessons.
A graduate of the “F. Petrarca” Music High School, Davide also obtained a degree and a master in classical percussion at the Convervatory “R. Franci” in Siena. He also studied with some of the best Italian and world drummers like: Keith Carlock, Paul Wertico, Christian Meyer, Alfredo Golino, Roberto Gatto, John B. Arnold, Ellade Bandini, Maxx Furian, Alessandro Paternesi, Ney Rosauro, Gianni Arfacchia and others.
Davide has worked both with classical and modern projects. He has been playing live shows as a drummer since he was fifteen. He has performed with many artists having the opportunity to play different musical genres: from a traditional jazz repertoire to rock music, from avantgarde to funky-soul music, from Italian singer songwriters to the Big Band repertoire.
Davide's drumming has allowed him to play with many differents artists, including Papillon Vintage Swing Band, Völdo, Gianni Bruschi project, Willi Loman Big Band, Pieve Big Band, JOTC young collective, Back on funk, Seme soul band, Ego, The other side of the game, Mocambo quartet, Swinghetto, 80Faber and others.
He has performed with many orchestras, including Orchestra regionale Toscana, Southbank Sinfonia, Oberlin Agimus, Dartmouth Symphony, Orchestra Sinfonica città di Grosseto, Orchestra sinfonica città di Lucca and with some chamber music groups, including Siena percussion quartet, The Mallets, Ensemble nuovo contrappunto and many others with whom he also performed world and nationals premieres in festival like “Orizzonti verticali” in San Gimignano.
He has also taken part in theatrical performaces as a stage musician with Hal Yamanouchi and Enzo Aronica.
With some of these projects he has recorded in studios both audio and video works, including The Garage Studio, Mearevolutionae, Spazio Seme and Centro Giovani Onda D'urto.
In 2013 Davide received a scholarship in Jazz Drum with Christian Meyer at the Tedamis School.
In 2019 he won the first prize with Papillon Vintage Swing Band at the Pescara Swing on the Beach festival.
He has had experiences as a teacher of both drums and classical percussion, in various music schools in Tuscany.
He is currently active as a drummer and as a percussionist in various projects, also as a teacher. He is writing music in order to be able to record his first album as a bandleader.
In addition to this Davide is part of a cultural association that deals with the organization of artistic events. In particular of musical events with the aim of enriching the culture of the small town where he lives.
Thanks to this reality, of which he has been part for many years, Davide has had experiences as a sound engineer and as a stage technician. This experience allowed him to work at the Kilowatt festival in Sansepolcro (AR), one of the most important contemporary theater festivals in Italy.
Davide loves meeting new people who can enrich him culturally. He thinks it is essential to be a musician to confront and play with people who know how to move you.
