I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. I am capable of teaching and lecturing on numerous historical and political events and periods in history, with myself having specialized in European history, American history, African history, as well as the Medieval period and Antiquity.

Currently a final year Master's student in International Studies, I offer courses in Arabic, French and history-geography. My two mother tongues are Arabic and French, which I teach to different audiences (children, teenagers, adults), in school settings or in private lessons. I also have a degree in history, which allows me to offer solid courses in history and geopolitics, related to my academic field of specialization. Through this course, we will learn about US & European History at the middle and high school levels. Rather than exploring history through dates and memorization, we will view history through the lenses of causation, continuity and change over time, and comparison.

📚 What Students Will Learn: In this interdisciplinary course, students will gain a foundational and critical understanding of how individuals think, behave, and relate to one another within cultural and societal frameworks. Drawing on four core disciplines—Gender Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, and Psychology—this course encourages students to explore the complexities of human identity, interaction, and social structure. By the end of the course, students will understand Core Concepts and Theories of any one of the subjects they have chosen to understand and learn: Learn key ideas from gender theory (e.g., gender performativity, intersectionality) Explore sociological perspectives on class, race, norms, and deviance Study anthropological approaches to culture, rituals, kinship, and belief systems Examine psychological theories of behavior, emotion, personality, and cognition

Passionate about history and geography, I offer dynamic courses tailored to each student, from middle school to high school. My goal is to make these subjects lively, concrete, and accessible, giving meaning to the programs while effectively preparing students for assessments and exams (brevet, baccalaureate, etc.). Together, we will work on key concepts, methodology (document analysis, writing, sketching, understanding instructions, etc.), perspective, and the ability to make connections between the topics studied. I adapt to each student's level and offer a variety of materials to make the sessions interesting and interactive. We will be focusing on history and the important human connection intertwined with each. This will give us a deeper understanding of the customs we have and seeing how they evolved to our present era. With a special connection to English since the humanities is a writing heavy skill this will naturally overlap. I hope to study with you soon.

English is the most important language and is used all over the world. In my English class you will practice speaking, writing and reading a lot. In The Public Speaking class you will learn how to communicate well and correctly, you will also become more confident in speaking in front of the public, be able to deliver presentations well, and also become more courageous in delivering verbal messages. For sociological lessons, teachers can adjust to students, especially the chapters being studied at school. Basically, teachers will provide a systematic learning method system that is easy for students to understand and a very pleasant learning atmosphere in class

This course introduces secondary and sixth-form students to the evolution of global civilizations, with a focus on comparative history, political thought, and social transformation. Drawing on 30+ years of experience teaching History and Liberal Studies in Hong Kong—including at A-Level and university level—I guide students through themes such as colonialism, revolutions, global conflicts, and modern political ideologies. Each lesson combines primary source analysis, critical discussion, and structured writing skills (essays, arguments, and document-based questions). Ideal for students preparing for GCSE, A-Level, or international entrance exams.

This class offers personalized instruction in philosophical and/or sociological theory, suited both for students seeking academic support and for individuals with a general interest in a philosophical topic. Sessions are designed according to the student’s goals, whether it’s clarifying course material, preparing written assignments, or exploring theoretical texts independently. I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Philosophy. My areas of specialization include ancient philosophy, early modern philosophy, and phenomenology. I also hold a background in sociology, which allows me to offer interdisciplinary approaches to social theory and critical thought. Sessions can be focused on specific authors or movements (e.g. Plato, Spinoza, feminist theory), or organized thematically around concepts such as love, beauty, perception, or subjectivity. The goal is to foster rigorous but accessible understanding, with attention to both conceptual clarity and historical context.
