Creative mentoring & coaching for artists who want to stand out (ENG/ PORT)

Creative mentoring for artists who wants to make a difference and stand out from the crowd!

I have experience mentoring young people and people changing into an arts career. I also help artists from all stages of their careers successfully applying for grants.

Let's embark together on this journey! Mentoring and coaching sessions include:
- Find your Voice as an Artist
- Writing About Your Art Practice
- Developing Your Critical Thinking
- Applying for Grants
- Portfolio preparation
- Spotting your challenges
- Resilience for Creatives
- Or just tailored to you needs.

Please note that the 30min session is ONLY to talk through your concerns and how you'd like to work together in the next sessions.

After the first session, we agree what the goals are for you and the number of sessions. I recommend a minimum of five session as it helps establishing trust, time to go through any challenges and for a positive transformational change.

Please prepare for the first session: think of what's holding you back, challenges you're facing. But no need to worry much: it will also be an opportunity for me to learn more about your work and career.

About Me

Multi-disiplinary artist and educator passionate about teaching that is engaging and fun! After all, that's how we learn, isn't it?

I am an empathetic and caring teacher who listens to the student needs and I use a range of strategies, including participation, poetry, games and practical ways to break down themes, making arts accessible to everyone.

Inspired by the power that art has to connect people, I teach, curate and facilitate arts workshops for community groups, care homes and social projects. Participants not only learn, but are also encouraged to exchange skills.

I've also created a methodology to run participatory tours through creativity that I customize for these groups in galleries and museums in London, as well as for individuals and small groups upon request.

MENTORING IN ARTS : Discover how to say something through your artistic work.
I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Art classes for aspiring artists beginner to advanced!
You will always need a blank piece of paper and a pencil for class. Some people say that you need fancy materials to make art but that is far from the truth. Using what you have at home is perfect! We will be taking notes each class on techniques and we will also be doing sketches every class. On the first day of class we will start by setting goals for something we want to learn more about in art. I will work with you to gradually get to that place you want. Art is something that you learn just like everything else, putting in the work is part of learning and is needed in the subject of art as well!

I’m a drawing teacher and artist living in Paris. Since 6 years, I provide drawing class to many publics, from school to urban sketching sessions. Since two years, I also give online drawing class for all public. I have an IPad, so I can share my screen to guide my student by drawing directly on it and show them some drawing technics as if we were on the same spot. Learning drawing is half about learning basics technics, like perspective, contrasts and human form, and half about trusting your own vision, by observation work or imagination exercices. My teaching program is always a combination of those elements.

Idris
Painting Tutor: Discover and develop your artistic language
I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London. Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you! Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs. The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language. (Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.) Have questions? Don’t hesitate to message me! I can tailor a class to your needs :)

Caterina
Creative drawing & animation instructor for all levels
Talent doesn’t matter. Natural predisposition doesn’t exist. Drawing is a skill you can learn at any age. If you want to give shape to your ideas, you’re in the right place. My goal is to help each person develop their own expressive abilities, offering them the tools they need to grow confidently. Each lesson is tailored to the student and shaped by the connection we build together. We can focus on the fundamentals — like anatomy, shading, and perspective — or take a more expressive, storytelling-driven approach through comics and illustration. My lessons are open to people of all ages and learning styles, including those with special needs. Learning to draw means learning to understand yourself and the world around you. My teaching method is deeply student-centred. I believe that each person who chooses to draw is moved by a unique intention, whether it's mastering technical skills or exploring their own world through visual storytelling. That's why I tailor every lesson to support the individual goals of each student. For those who are more interested in improving their technical abilities, i provide structured, didactic materials. These include selected resources from established drawing manuals, as well as my own handouts and exercises focused on essential techniques such as anatomy, perspective, shading, the use of different tools and materials and much more. My aim is to make complex topics accessible and rewarding to learn. For students who are more interested in self-expression and storytelling, we work with creative expression exercises. These activities are more emotional and intuitive, designed to help students put themselves into their art, exploring their own identity, style and imagination. In all cases, I foster a safe and inspiring space where students can grow at their own rhytm, not following a one-size path.
