Preparation for entrance exams at HES, DUBS, ECUS, and EMS – Maths & Physics
From 64 Fr /h
EPFL engineer + International Mathematical Olympiad medalist.
Each year I prepare around fifteen students for the most difficult competitive exams in French-speaking Switzerland:
HES entrance exam (mathematics-physics)
DUBS Gateway
ECUS (UNIGE)
EMS (medical examinations – math/physics section)
Results 2024-2025: 100% success rate among my seriously prepared students.
Intensive program + corrected past papers + time management techniques.
Individual lessons or mini-groups of 2-3 (sliding scale pricing).

About Me
As an EPFL engineer, I have been teaching math and physics for almost ten years — first as an assistant tutor at EPFL, where I supervised hundreds of students in analysis and linear algebra, then in private lessons, from middle school to high school and up to university.
What these years have taught me is that difficulties in math and physics rarely stem from a lack of effort. They arise from a poorly defined concept somewhere upstream, one that was never revisited. My job is to find that point, and then rebuild from there.
I don't give the answer. I ask a question, I wait, I ask another — until the student finds it themselves. It's what they discover on their own that they remember, and it's also what restores their confidence.
I listen a lot, I adapt quickly to the student's profile, and my goal is not just the grade on the next exam: it's that he leaves with reasoning methods that will serve him well in the future.

Experience / Qualifications
Assistant tutor at EPFL (2016–2020) — four years leading tutorials in Analysis I to IV, Linear Algebra, and General Physics for first- and second-year students. I saw hundreds of papers: I know where students stumble and what the teachers really expect on exam day.
Private tutoring (since 2016) — for middle school students looking to fill in gaps in their knowledge, high school students preparing for their baccalaureate, and university students (EPFL and others) preparing for exams or entrance exams. In-person in Lausanne and online.
What I bring to the table in concrete terms:
A diagnosis from the very first session: where the blockage comes from, not just where it manifests itself
Progressive exercises, aligned with the actual curriculum followed (college, gymnasium, EPFL)
Targeted exam preparation, with the experience of someone who has graded them.
A methodological review after each lesson
