About Me

I hold a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Anthropology, Theology, Native American and Religious Studies. Additionally, I successfully completed all program requirements for earning the Oxford Advanced 220-Hour TESOL/TESL/TEFL Certificate with specializations in Teaching English Grammar, Teaching Business English, Teaching IELTS and TOEFL Preparation, and Teaching English to Young Learners.

Currently, I am the Subject Matter Expert and Lead Instructor for Cultural Anthropology classes in the College of Professional Studies, University of New England Maine. I recently served five months as a Peace Corps Virtual Service Pilot Volunteer assisting the Philippines Science High School with their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Curriculum Revision Project.

I love tutoring because I enjoy the one-on-one interaction I experience in assisting others achieve their own specific learning goals. Every student is unique and presents a different set of needs, expectations, abilities and ethnographic background. I have found tutoring and teaching to be immensely intrinsically rewarding because my students always appreciate the professional and empathetic assistance I am able to provide to them.

I have experience teaching domestically in the United States, and internationally in Nicaragua, Ecuador and Colombia. I was proud to serve nearly three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching English and nutrition classes, along with developing the UNESCO TiNi Program in Cuenca, Ecuador.

It is true that the philosopher is the friend of wisdom, but above all, he is someone who does not want to make mistakes in reasoning. Philosophizing is a way of reasoning and a way of solving problems that will never have a perfect and definitive solution. Knowing the distance between the Earth and the Moon is not a problem of philosophy, because it is enough to measure to solve it.
