I am a passionate musician and educator with a diverse background in music. Having studied music in the vibrant city of Manchester, I honed my skills and knowledge in piano & saxophone. Today, I work at a prominent record label during the day & tutor in the evenings.

With over 5 years of experience tutoring music, I take pride in my students' achievements. Numerous pupils under my guidance have taken the prestigious ABRSM exams, and without exception, all have achieved merits or distinctions, showcasing the effectiveness of my teaching approach.

Having successfully passed my Grade 5 piano exam, I continued to play challenging pieces up to approximately Grade 7 level. Further, I am a distinguished saxophonist, achieving a distinction in their Grade 8 jazz saxophone exam. My knowledge is not limited to performance alone; I possess a wide understanding of music theory. Achieving an 'A' in my A-Level music exams while concurrently pursuing their Grade 6 music theory.

Through teaching, performing, and sharing their extensive music theory knowledge, I continue to inspire and uplift the world of music, leaving a lasting impact on their students and the wider musical community. I specialise in teaching guitar for all levels. Beginners are very welcome. My main aim is to get the students to enjoy playing and from there we can start to get deeper into theory, composition, improvisation and song writing. I also specialise in Brazilian guitar if that is anyone's passion.

I am a vastly experienced violinist and composer with a Masters Degree from the prestigious Lucerne Hochschule - Musik in Switzerland and Postgraduate Degree from Trinity Laban in London. I'm a very dedicated teacher, who loves to work with students from all age groups and levels of experience - one of the joys of teaching for me has been to help others find their own potential through consistent work.

I structure the class around three different aspects:
* addressing technical issues - intonation, bow technique and sound quality, posture
* music making - learning about the style of each composer/of each piece, developing repertoire
* interpretation - understanding harmony, finding an emotional connection with each of the pieces
As part of the weekly-lessons, I provide you with exercises and tools to be able to follow-up on the above. We will work together towards reaching your goals and potential, whilst maintaining a balance between the joy of music-making and achieving a high quality.
