To me:
I graduated from high school in 2019 and am now studying Japanese Studies and Philosophy at the University of Cologne out of interest, but would ultimately like to become a teacher. I lived in America for many years as a child, so English is practically my second mother tongue. During my school days I already gained experience of English tutoring with several tutoring students and would now like to give tutoring again to finance my studies.
About my method:
I work very individually with each student, ie when I get to know a student for the first time, I listen to him and look at his previous work materials. A few exercises and an honest conversation often tell me where I can help. I like to prepare for a lesson, but during the lesson I give free rein to my impulses and improvise in order to be able to respond to the student as much as possible. My methodology consists of my own motivation and enthusiasm to learn languages and the ability to spread it. I also offer genre language training for adults and help them learn the language.

About Me
I was raised in America, so English is pretty much my native language. But the most important thing about me is probably the fact that I totally dig learning new languages. I’m currently enrolled in the University of Cologne, where I study Japanese Studies and try my best to learn the language. Languages have always fascinated me, but of course I understand that not everyone feels this way. For example, I’ve always struggled to see the beauty of Math and never really put in the effort during my time at school. So yes, I completely understand how that can be a struggle, however; I don’t think it has to be this way and I’d love to help you change that and see the beauty of the English language.
Education
I acquired my “Abitur” in 2019 and now I’m a student (third semester, although it really doesn’t feel like it - thanks to Covid) at the University of Cologne studying Japanese Studies and Philosophy
Experience / Qualifications
As already stated, English is my native language. I’ve also completed my “Abitur” with English as one of my two “Leistungskurse” and have given English lessons to students at my school back then.

Would you like to brush up on your English or learn small talk? Do you need business English for the job and negotiations? Or do you need an individually tailored exam or high school preparation?

Very happy - with a lot of expertise and enthusiasm! :)

I am a young, cheerful English and sports teacher with a master's degree (grade 1.1), many years of tutoring experience and work experience at the university. I offer support for all motivated English learners - individually adapted, experienced and digital.

My principles:

- INDIVIDUAL: Individual support is the most important thing for me - I look at your level of knowledge so that we cannot repeat anything unnecessary and work directly on your weak points!

- INSPIRED: Learning can be so much fun - and that's a priority for me. I always make sure that the topics are as exciting as possible for you and that joy is never neglected!

- AUTHENTIC: in addition to the language of instruction (English), in my opinion it is also authentically open to communicate: do you suddenly feel tired, overwhelmed, underwhelmed? Open communication leads to a better learning result and flexibility is the be-all and end-all!

- STRUCTURED: I prepare myself individually for each hour and always plan courses based on current learning theory findings - at the same time, of course, I also pay attention to your individual inclinations in terms of structure and spontaneity.

- HEALTHY: nobody is sitting with me for more than 30 minutes. I ALWAYS plan 2-3 minutes of breaks in between and am always happy to give other health and exercise tips for those interested, as this is my second great passion :)

Are you looking for support for your child? Does your child have difficulties following the subject matter of the IB Diploma or Abitur and feels overwhelmed?

Your reason for reading:
Ever since I was born, my curiosity has never been contained - I was always looking for new challenges and as soon as something interested me, I wanted to know everything about it, no matter how long it took. Among my friends and colleagues, I am known for familiarizing myself with new topics in a very short time and developing a profound understanding

The key to success: Education.
In my opinion, free education is the highest and most valuable asset we have and we should do everything we can to continuously educate ourselves.

At this point, it would be wrong to say that "unfortunately" everyone is knitted differently. Thank God this is exactly the case and this is where the biggest problem in our society begins. Even in the early years we are not optimally encouraged. Parents try their best to give their children the best education, but they and the teachers are often overwhelmed by the situation at school. Of course, this is not entirely the fault of the teachers. Imagine supporting 30 children individually in 90 minutes. Effectively this means 3 minutes for each child and now they see your own daughter or son trying to explain a complex task in that time - let's be honest! Here it quickly becomes clear that this is not only too little time for your child, we would also fail because of it.

Always looking for self-optimization:
Self-optimization has rarely been worth as much as it is today. I teach students from all walks of life and this is what I love about my job and why I ended up becoming a personal coach.

Inflation does not only exist in the economy, knowledge is also inflationary in education. Once we stop and continue to educate, over time our level of knowledge becomes less valuable. So we have to do something to educate ourselves.

Achieve goals:
My goal is to give your daughter or son the best possible education in exactly the subject where most people fail - mathematics.

It doesn't matter whether it's in the German Abitur or in the International Baccalaureate (IB Diploma), mathematics is a big hurdle for most people. My goal is to make this hurdle easier for your child. This includes not only dryly explaining tasks - no, but restoring fun and motivation. Nobody wants to study for something where they have the feeling of standing in front of a wall and only understand the train station.

In the end, I want your child to be prepared with a deeper understanding and to lose the fear of difficult tasks. For this, I optimize learning techniques, fill in gaps, and see where your child's individual goal is. In the end, your child should go to my lessons in a tailor-made way and optimally supported. Of course, I'm not a silver bullet and development varies from student to student, but my personal aim is to offer you premium service clothing that is otherwise rarely found on the market.
