Have you been staring at the equations that the teachers write as if you were looking at hieroglyphs on the wall? Do you feel stuck when you are confronted by your exercises, not a single idea coming to mind? My name is Bastien, I studied Physics for my Bachelor's at EPFL and a Master's in Quantum Engineering at ETH. During my studies, I was a Teaching Assistant for classes in Electromagnetism, Fluid Dynamics, Analysis, and Special Relativity. I also gave private lessons to students in need before their exams. Through these experiences, I discovered that no matter your level we all tend to get stuck in front of math equations at one point or another. We get lost in the details and seem to be unable to see the big picture, to understand where all of this is going, and why any of it is useful at all. In these classes, I want to help you deal with these issues. It doesn't matter if you are in middle school, high school, or starting your Bachelor's. The goal of these classes is to help you cultivate the skills needed not only to improve your grades but also to be a better problem solver. I will help you develop your passion and curiosity for mathematics. The passion that you maybe never knew you had! We will look at mathematics not as a monolithic entity but as a language. Ultimately, mathematical excellence can be decomposed into four primary skills: memory, patience, curiosity, and creativity. During this class, we will: 🟢 Assess in which areas you are struggling 🟢 Come up with a plan tailored to your needs 🟢 Fill in the gaps in your understanding 🟢 Stay up to date with the content of your classes Mathematics in the end is not about the mathematics themselves. It is about the problems they allow us to solve and the language they give us to confront them. If you have any questions about this class, my availability, or pricing, please don't hesitate to contact me. Click the blue "Contact Bastien" button above and let's discuss!

I have 10 years of experience in being a music instructor. That's not only piano lessons, it's also a theory of music, history of music, and vocal and orchestral projects. I've worked with students from all around the world - most of them attended the American School of Warsaw and the British School of Warsaw. The idea is not only to teach how to play the right notes and to know the main composers, but I also want my students to feel the music, to be able to find out what the idea of an art piece is. It is also very important for me to encourage a child to find his own style of playing. From my point of view, there are no people deaf to music, just people who aren’t acquainted with music, till now! It is well known that music classes are not only pleasant but as well music classes are very helpful and important in a child’s education and development. Kids who play instruments learn languages faster and more productively, focus better, and it has been shown to perform better in math and science. My own experience and that of my students show me that music has a positive effect on a student's overall education results. Moreover, music is not just an art, it is the language of the soul, waiting to speak for your child's feelings and moods.

For me, the best way to learn French is first through conversation. I believe that speaking about simple topics, personal interests, and subjects that truly motivate the student is essential. When learners talk about what they are passionate about, they feel more confident and engaged, and progress comes more naturally. In a second step, I like to create personalized modules and materials adapted to each student. When I identify areas for improvement, I design specific exercises and activities to help them grow. However, I always keep the student’s needs and interests at the center of the learning process. My goal is to make learning French enjoyable, motivating, and meaningful.
