About Me

Dance has been my passion for over 20 years, and I have been teaching for more than eight years. Teaching has given me plenty of insight into my own dancing and improvisations. I follow a flexible syllabus while teaching students Bharatanatyam. I understand that each student learns differently and change the syllabus accordingly. Apart from dancing, students must know the history of Bharatanatyam and have a basic understanding of theory as well so the focus is on both theory and practical aspects of Bharatanatyam.

Classes, choreography and staging! in person or virtually

Are you going home and want to do something special? Let's do it together, whether it's a dance, a performance, or whatever you want—alone, with your partner, family, bridesmaids, or whoever you want. There are two options: I'll teach you how to dance the genre you're going to dance plus the choreography, or I'll just teach you the choreography. It's up to you.

📌It doesn't always take two for things to work...
To begin to connect, assimilate and experiment with new KNOWLEDGE, the most IMPORTANT thing is the body, the attitude, perseverance and a great pinch of confidence!
I always like to approach the codes of different dance disciplines, based on structures that work on the physical, rhythmic, and creative aspects.
There is an idea that Tango is difficult to learn, and of course if we approach it with that label, it will be that way. Starting from the main concept of tango, WALKING, something that we all do most of the time, dancing tTANGO is within everyone's reach.🤗
Another very important point is the way to assimilate and understand it 😉😅
❤️‍🔥What will the classes be like, you ask?
I'll tell you a little bit, we are going to develop the structure in the work of weight changes, the step, projection of the walk, the pivot, understanding the kinesphere individually and as a couple translated into the hug, the turns and the spiral torso to understand the momentum in various exercises, the eights so famous in tango, the basic step and universal exit, walks with the concept of lanes and much more from various sequences that familiarize you with the technical needs to be able to perform the steps without leaving aside the dynamics, pulse, accent and compas of the tango. In addition to ballet classes and stretching, I also provide audition preparation and competition training variations.
My ballet class is typically divided into two parts: Barre and Center, which include adagio, pirouettes, and jumps. We can reserve time for pointe technique upon request as well. During classes, attention is given not only to the technical aspects of the combinations provided but also to their musicality and the logic of movements. Detailed analysis is also provided on which muscles should be engaged in each movement and what sensations the student should experience when executing the steps correctly.
It would be great if you could share a video of your class or variation performance before our first class. This will allow me to assess your level and make our lesson as productive as possible.
