I started playing drums when I was 7 and have never stopped. After high school I studied at the Rock Academy in Tilburg, where I developed further as a musician. I am regularly on stage myself. Mostly as a drummer, but also as a guitarist. I like to share my love for music with others. Through the lessons I give, I let the students experience how much fun it is to make music themselves. I have been doing this with great pleasure for more than 6 years. In addition, I have been teaching for 5 years and I regularly give music workshops.

These are all part of the learning process and so they are worked into the lessons accordingly. Together we can determine goals and get you playing comfortably and confidently. We will cover everything from basics to being able to work out parts to your favourite songs. I am extremely patient and ready to help you excel. Hello! I am Dohyun from South Korea. I am a second year jazz drum student at Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I have 3 years of experiences in teaching drums at music schools in Korea and Vietnam. I am open minded as a musician and as a person, I like to have a relaxed, joyful class, and I also value basic, fundamental stuffs, rhythm, and harmony. With more than 20 years of experience in drums and more than 10 years in percussion, I teach many musical genres (jazz through Latin music, pop, hip hop, rock, hard, punk, metal ..) , the double pedal, notions of music theory, rhythmic reading. Possibility of taking percussion lessons (darbuka, bongos, African djembe, congas, jaw harp, dhol). The programs are directly inspired by internationally recognized methods, thus being able to adapt to the needs, levels and requirements of each individual. I travel but I also receive in a room with equipment available (any age and level of practice are allowed, from initialization to professionals).
