I would emphasize listening, rhythm and playing in pairs. There will be part of the work devoted to instrumental technique (how to get a beautiful sound out of the instrument, how to play without getting tired or injured, what are the different ways of making a guitar/bass guitar sound depending on the style) , and the rest of the time we can work on pieces, tackle improvisation, group playing, composition, or other subjects depending on your requests. My musical journey: I am currently a student at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in jazz and before that I spent 2 years at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Lille in jazz bass/double bass and classical double bass. I also graduated from EF2M in Tourcoing. I started music at the age of 8 with the piano, then I turned to the guitar at 12 and then to the electric bass at 16. When I entered the Lille Conservatory, I also took up the double bass. We feel so lucky to have found Laura as my daughter’s violin teacher. Not only is she a skilled musician, she’s a wonderful instructor who is able to effectively engage with young kids (my daughter was four when she started lessons). I’ve observed Laura as both structured and flexible — her lessons are planned with purpose, but she also has back-up ideas if a kid’s energy isn’t a good match for the day’s agenda. I love seeing my daughter’s skill and confidence grow in such a warm, supportive learning environment. I wholeheartedly recommend lessons with Laura for any child interested in exploring the violin!

Estella is a very positive, always happy teacher. Even though my son has been having on-line lessons with her, we can always feel her positive attitude during the lessons. She is very patient, gives lots of important tips and feedback, which has been helping him to guide his learning, improving in every aspect of it. We can see how much she care about the whole learning experience. It’s been very useful to expend his time while at home doing the lessons. He has been practicing more and has been feeling more motivated since he started the lessons with her. We definitely recommend her as a Saxophone teacher!
