Gerrit - Steenokkerzeel49€
Trusted teacher: Your child has difficulty with math, physics, chemistry or natural sciences. It cannot process the subject matter and you want to do something about it. As a teacher (engineer with certificate of pedagogical competence) I have been teaching mathematics, physics and chemistry and natural sciences in secondary education for 20 years. I am an independent teacher in secondary occupation and recognized by the Flemish Community. Because of my experience and empathy I can make the abstract terminology and exercises that your child does not understand anything understandable. I tutor students from secondary education to higher education students. From Pythagoras to quadratic equations, logarithmic and exponential functions, limits, derivatives, integrals, ... Everything is possible! Students preparing for the board exams often encounter problems in the subjects of mathematics, chemistry or physics. Through intensive guidance I can greatly increase the chances of success. Students with dyscalculia are remedied by practicing the subject matter, using tips, mnemonics and a lot of patience. Experience shows that the way of mathematical thinking in dyscalculia is different and therefore requires a more structured, step-by-step approach. References are available. The tutoring is given during the weekend at my home in Melsbroek (Steenokkerzeel) and every day online via Zoom. Zoom has a handy online board on which we can write simultaneously. It's like we're sitting next to each other and writing on the same page. If you want tutoring via Zoom, you must download the Zoom app and send me the email address that you link to it.

Arina - Leuven29€
Trusted teacher: - As for the lessons. The lessons are about mathematics of secondary education. More specifically, I will assist in the theoretical processing of mathematics as its application (the exercises). In addition, I will provide additional study material (aids, schedules, ...) if necessary. - Way of handling. I would like to have an overview in advance of the study material, the tests or tasks in which certain problems are visible, .... This way I can prepare the lessons in advance and focus on the problem. In addition, I can estimate / determine his / her level in this way. I try, in a simple way and for the student in an understandable way, to explain the course in a different way so that this is clear to the student. Afterwards I like to enjoy the results. - Why am I doing this? Math is a passion of mine and for me there is nothing more fun than sharing my passion. Unfortunately, my love for mathematics is not part of my studies and that is why I like to do this as a hobby and as an extra income. Of course I work professionally. - Experiences? I love nothing more than tutoring my fellow students about the subject matter. This is appreciated by them. Of course I also have experience in tutoring mathematics of both primary and secondary education. - Who am I? My name is Arina and I am a legal practice student. I am 22 years old and I live in a student flat in Leuven. In high school itself, I had a traumatic experience in first and second high school for mathematics. I thought it was a very interesting and cool subject, but I just couldn't understand it. During these years I had the same teacher, who did not teach me the subject matter in a, for me, the right way. After (compulsory by my parents) tutoring, my interest in mathematics increased to such an extent that I started studying economics mathematics in the following years. My love for math just won't go away...

Trusted teacher: I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years. The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies. I have a perfect knowledge of the mathematics program of the College and the High School (from the Sixth to the Terminale). During my formative years, I studied and developed many techniques that make it easier to learn math. The strength of my pedagogical approach lies in my ability to explain in a simple way everything that the student finds complicated. I am passionate about this job because it gives me the opportunity to guide dropout students on the path to success. It is a real pleasure to see them evolve and come to terms with the fantastic world of mathematics. I provide my private lessons in Limoges (at the student's home) or remotely (online via the internet). My distance learning courses take place on an interactive online whiteboard. This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.

Private math lessons - Limoges or online - Qualified and experienced math teacher (Limoges)
Benoit
Benoit is friendly and patient and has a good sense of when to challenge and when to take a step back. My son, who is 8, really likes his lessons very much. He loves math, especially working with big numbers, and at school it isn't always possible to work on calculations as he would like. After few lessons he already learned new techniques for calculations he likes to experiment with and Benoit also managed to challenge him to try some new and more advanced things. I think this type of lessons is more tricky to prepare, at least until the teacher gets to know well the capacities and character of the child, as there are not based on the child's curriculum or homework to be done. Benoit is always open to discussion and if my son finds something too challenging, they take a step back and try another way or just agree to try another time when my son feels ready for it.

CCVX + James Boswell Entrance Exams Preparation (Physics) (Groningen)
Bibek
I was preparing for CCVX and Boswell Beta physics exams and the lessons with Bibek helped a lot. They were very flexible, and suited for me, I received a lot of tips and the general atmosphere during the lessons was very good. I would definitely recommend Bibek to everyone looking for a person with great physics knowledge and also teaching skills, as he was able to explain everything in a way that I would definitely understand, by even giving some visual references.
