Learn basic Dutch or Italian ( avalible also in English )

I graduated from a linguistic high school in 2019, studying English, French, and Spanish as subjects of focus. I also got an ESABAC degree (French diploma). Moreover, I traveled a lot to get in contact with mother tongue people and to improve my language skills. I have recently moved to the Netherlands and I am planning on starting a PPE Bachelor in September.

Most important is that each course is based on the needs, interests and availability of the student. - The method is mainly what is called communicative, aimed at stimulating the student to speak immediately and put the focus on the functional aspect of the language. As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above). I will help students for beginners-lower-intermediate level. After every lesson I will give you homework for the next lesson. Hi, I'm Paola and I'm a graduate in Italian Literature and I also have a master's degree in Teaching Italian to Foreigners. I use a book that I integrate with different materials. Conversation is very important, but so is listening and understanding a text. I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course.
