I took inspiration from the anatomy lessons of my teachers in India and Canada to create fluid, tonic and complementary Asanas, my aim being to guide a progressive, captivating and controlled practice. My teaching is accompanied by theoretical references to assist the student in understanding the relationship between body and mind.
My classes are also fun and with a touch of humor because yoga is also wanting to do good and keep smiling!
We can choose together themes according to your abilities, need and desire so that I can guide you in the practice that is best for you.
CathyPrivate Yoga classes (Iyengar, Vinyasa, Sivananda, Ashtanga) at home
Having 20+ years of experience, I am interested in sharing my knowledge of yoga and the benefits of Reiki (energy harmonization) with everyone. I was trained in India where I lived for several years (Iyengar, Sivananda). Iyengar's individual approach allows you to work the postures accurately using the breath, without hurting yourself, learning to listen to him. I currently practice dynamic yoga based on a series of postures by consciously breathing that allows the mind to gradually let go.
Private lessons allow you to establish a personal practice program. After a first interview, during which your motivations and needs are studied, you will leave with a personalized session to practice at home autonomously. I establish and guide a practice that will be reevaluated and intensified gradually by integrating reflexology and Reiki (energy harmonization) during each course.
Private lessons can be done at the teacher's home or in English or in French.

My classes will introduce you to the beauty of flowing sequences and how to connect you breath with your movements. I will focus on energizing your body through core strenghth and dynamic flows or more grounding standing series. Explore your body through movement in a light and playful way and improve your flexibility while learning how to use your breath in a healing way.

What I like about teaching:
I'm interested in encouraging people to use their breath in an empowering and healing way. Further to that I like the combination of flowing movements and the cultivation of groundedness both with deep Ujjayi Breath. Through hands-on assists I like to support my
students to get a deeper sensation of the pose and experience the borders of their bodies. In my classes I like to hold space for my students to experiment, discover their strength and to overcome fears.

With private yoga lessons, you will receive personalized instruction based on your body type. I will carefully prepare a class that meets your personal needs. Private yoga instruction can help you improve the basics and expand your yoga practice. People of all ages are welcome to practice yoga, with no need for previous experience.
Classes can take place in your home, via Skype or at home in Wilsele, Leuven. Individual classes or group classes. In the first class, we can talk about your intention, background, and experience in your work. From this, we can adopt a series of sessions that suit your personal needs and the preferred style of yoga.
I am a French yoga instructor who moved to Belgium in 2018. I started practicing yoga since I was in high school, where I had some personal problems. My yoga practice started in 2007, where I learned about Vinyasa yoga, a dynamic yoga class. After a few years, I also started Ashtanga classes, the modern form of Indian classical yoga. I trained in Venezuela, where I was born, and in France, where I obtained my diploma as a yoga instructor. Now, from my daily work, I would like to share and learn about yoga.

I am a Indian specialized in giving yoga lessons for children,women (before and after pregnancy) and elder adults(above 50). This may not result in a complete recovery, but there would be an improvement in the motor coordination/anxiety level/depression.
