Learn the guitar in a relaxed and fun environment! I aim to make every lesson an adventure, with the focus being on enjoyment and exploration, rather than urgency. Music is about personal expression and connection, and that is exactly what these lessons will be about.

If you want to practice English, I am happy to run classes in my native language, but can also teach in German if preferred.

One of the best parts of music is learning to write your own! I can work with you to write and compose a song of your own. There's nothing quite like creating your own songs, and I can guide you along this journey, give you the tools to get started, or help you fine-tune one already in the works.

Classes are 100% personalized, following the student's wishes/requirements but also my experience to determine what we should achieve.

- Jazz and improvisation
- Classical music
- Harmony, counterpoint, and music theory. Composition.
I have a pre-meeting with the student, where we get to know each other, talk about music and other interests, and then create a personalized study plan for the first classes.

Guitar (Acoustic/Electric) lessons for beginner or advanced players focusing on finger placement, strumming, understanding groove and chord placement. Students will learn to care for their instrument as well as tuning the guitar.

A guitar player since early age I have an immense passion for this beautiful instrument and the will to share my knowledge with who ever shares this passion.

I am also a Music Producer and a session player for various projects ranging from blues/country/folk/rock/pop/R&B/soul/jazz.

Guitar Classes (classical with nylon strings ; acoustic with steel strings ; and/or electric) in Vienna or online in various languages (ENG/GER/FRA/ESP)

Pedagogue with more than 10 years of experience in scholar and extracurricular contexts is offering his expertise as a guitar teacher for new interested students of all ages. Classes are held in person in Vienna's 3rd district, and can be of course prolonged into the school year.

My class is based on various but well structured classical methods, however Pop and modern music remains an important aspect of the learning process, so the various wishes and aspects of guitar playing can be achieved by beginners and advanced students. A vast well catered repertoire and personalized arrangements will be provided for each student individually.

Many groups projects with guitars as well as other music instruments were very successfully realized over the years, and many of my students have also succeeded in competitions and important (solo) performances.
Prep classes for competitions as well as entrance exams at music institutions are also very possible!

Every year there are two student concerts in a beautiful concert hall in the 3rd district (December and June)

That's why the lessons are individually tailored to you!! We will work a lot on the things you're actually interested in learning, the type of music you want to learn and some essentials so that you can get most out of your playing.

Do you want to learn how to play various styles while having fun? Or you just feel stagnated and you dont progress anymore?
Then you should try out my classes: I dont specialize in any specific style, but I grew to learn at least the basic tricks of the main styles (flamenco, blues, acoustic folk, electric pop, a bit of jazz)
It would truly be a pleasure to me to show you the keys about becoming a better guitar player, the details that make the difference. I can of course also show you how to play specific songs that you like, and how to slowly figure songs and melodies out by ear. If necessary I will correct your technique and show you how to maintain your guitar.

I am Joan, a professional classical guitarist newly based in Vienna. I am from Barcelona, obtained a First Class Bachelor's degree in Music and a Master's degree in Performance at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, and I have now landed in Vienna, where I do a Postgraduate Certificate at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) with Prof. Alvaro Pierri. I am also an active performer, with more than 30 concerts a year across Europe, the USA and the UK.

Besides performing, I have been teaching for more than 10 years now. Last year as a Junior Fellow at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, but also privately, in music schools, conservatoires, primary and secondary schools and summer camps. Mainly 1 to 1 but very often ensembles, chamber music or orchestras.

I have always considered guiding people into learning music a central part of my passion and profession, and always put special attention to Pedagogy. I was lucky to have lessons with some of the world's best professionals like A. Pierri, D. Russell, R. Dyens, M. Barrueco, L. Brouwer, A. Vidovic...

I am now looking forward to connecting with new students here in Vienna or online!

I always try to explore what is the best way for each particular student to develop, so our lessons could take many different approaches.
