Teacher graduated from the French National Education, having worked for seven years in high school, I propose sessions of academic support mainly in these three disciplines: French, English and History. These courses can be given on a regular basis or punctually according to your needs. Very accustomed to children and teenagers, during my teaching years I developed various methods to motivate discouraged students and help them achieve their goals.

Method adapted to the needs of the student. Different "tools" will be used (videos, exercises, scenarios ...). The emphasis will be on practice and orality (importance of the accent to express yourself well and be understood). I guarantee we shall have a jolly good time!

Understanding and knowing how to speak Dutch and English is a major asset in Belgium. I am bilingual French-Dutch and I would like to be able to help other people progress. I adapt to the level of my student. I can give private lessons or academic support lessons. I am also currently continuing my studies in English. Hello I am a PhD in soil physics, teaching is my passion and have taught many classess from English, GRE, engineering course, software and etc. I speak English, Farsi and Portogues, Dutch is in progress. I also perfomed various consultants and coaching for graduate students regarding future jobs.

Passionate about languages, I learn languages on my own! I speak French, English, an African language (Lingala), I manage in Dutch, I am improving in Spanish and I am starting in Albanian! I would give language lessons out of passion, helping the students with their homework but I will try to talk to them while being immersed in the language.

What to expect? Young children - More of a game/activity learning method but also involves learning a broad scheme of things. It is in a way, an introduction to the basics of the language. Teenagers - Usually involve set goals to reach by a certain period (for school). The teaching method and intensity depends on the amount of catching up to do. If no catch up is required a more friendly learning method can be applied depending on the learner's interests. Adults - More of a discussion-based learning method, depending on the experience of the learner. And can be oriented more towards specific subjects or domains chosen by the learner. It can involve course work or tasks to be done. Why me? I was born in Scotland but I grew up mostly in the french-speaking part of Belgium so I would say that both English and French are my natal languages. I have decent knowledge of the various English cultures, vocabulary, and grammar. Having traveled for a year in North America and having lived in Australia, Ireland, and Britain. My mother is an english teacher in a secondary school and has given private english lessons ever since we moved to Belgium when I was six years old . I have participated or helped in many classes when needed. I have access to a ton of material and her personal knowledge if I or we are experiencing a problem that we can't seem to solve. Or an issue the learner is experiencing that is preventing him/her from advancing. I am a very "auto-ditact" person who tries to maximize the resources I have and the ones I have access to. I am good at understanding and solving problems and I believe that I can apply this to teaching as well. I am a very professional person that tries to stay as relaxed and calm as possible. I am also extremely patient and have a lot of dedication. If there is a deadline and a goal to meet, I will try my very best to make things work. Additional info I also know the humiliation that we sometimes feel when speaking a foreign language. I try to be as impartial and non-judgemental as I can in order to make the person feel as relaxed as possible when communicating with them.

I grew up in the United States and completed my studies in the US as well. I have taught English to people of all ages and skill levels. I like to focus on communication and verbal expression from the very beginning, as I have found speaking is the quickest way to learn. I then incorporate small readings, like short news articles, so that the most useful and necessary parts of the language are learned first.

I speak French to B2 level and Spanish to C1 level with basic Italian, Portuguese and Catalan, but try to deliver my classes with as much English as possible so as to facilitate target language goals.
