Trusted teacher: I teach theory for all grades, specialising in ABRSM theory. I have access to many past papers. I have also created exercises to help my students. When a students stuggle with an exercise, I create exercises to help master it. Theory should be easy! I aim to have students take Grade 5 theory in 2 terms. About Me I am a friendly teacher, who will help you achieve your desired goal for music theory. I have been teaching live for 15 years, and online for 8 years. As long as your internet connection is good, skype can be almost as good as being in the same room. I have studied with many of the leading teachers in Europe and the USA. I started my education at Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music (London), where I studied with James Sleigh for five years. I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and the National Youth Strings Academy. I the studied my Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music (London), where I studied with Andriy Viytovych. I have a Masters of Music from Trinity Laban College of Music and Dance (London), studying under Roger Chase, and a Masters in Fine Art from Gothenburg University (Sweden) with Øvyor Volle (Vertavo Quartet). I also studied in the USA at the Manhattan School of Music, New York, and Chicago College of Performing Arts. I work as a professional viola player across the UK and Scandinavia, with such orchestras as Swedish Radio Orchestra, Stockholm Philharmonic, Bergen, Norwegian Radio, Gothenburg Symphony, Norrkoping Symphony, Jonkoping Sinfonietta, Aarhus Symphony, and English National Ballet Philharmonic. I am also a music arranger and transcriber. I can give lessons once or twice a week. Please note that twice a week does allow for fast progression. Lessons can be at my home in Stockholm, or online. Trusted teacher: While being a guitar teacher for many years I realized the demand for developing skills in recording, composing and producing one's own music using audio software. As our lives become more and more influenced by digitalisation, it is my belief that also our music education should adapt to this. So, whether you want to record your own ideas, make beats on your laptop, learn about synthesizers or audio production, feel free to reach out to me! My teaching method is based on developing your own creativity right from the start, while learning useful techniques and knowledge about audio software etc. on the way. I mainly use Ableton, but a lot can be done in GarageBand or even on your tablet or phone! If you're already playing an instrument we will try to connect both practices, but if you're just starting out with doing music, that works as well and together we learn unconventional methods to get you started on your journey. I encourage people of all levels of experiences and levels (even kids!) to give it a try, it can be so much fun! I'm a professional composer and musician, currently pursuing a master's degree in electroacoustic music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Thao is an excellent teacher: energetic and patient, encouraging always and cheerful. She's great both with kids and adults (she teaches both me and my son). She gives honest and helpful feedback and clear explanations. I'm improving my practice in a way I couldn't have done by myself. And my son's motivation to play the piano is coming back thanks to Thao's good teaching skills, with the right dose of humour.

My lesson with Paolo was super comfortable and well structured. He made sure to understand my level, my goals and adjusted his teaching accordingly. I learned a lot, especially because he introduced me to new language learning techniques as well, that I hadn’t expected would work as well for me as they did. It was definitely one of the best lessons I’ve had so far and I plan to continue with Paolo as well~

I enjoyed the lesson very much and I improved a lot after all of the helpful tips and rudiments. Helped me enjoy and appreciate the drums so much more now that I can play for myself. Even after just the first lesson I felt that I was much better and I could play with music. Would truly recommend.
