I have devoted many years of my life to teaching. I have not looked at any other profession because this is something that I am so passionate about. I am conscientious about my work and would strive to provide quality in learning.
I enjoy helping people (no matter their age) on the path of learning and enabling the individual to develop confidence and strengths. I worked with many students in my teaching career of many different backgrounds.
I have worked in London in West London as a primary teacher but then wanted to travel and earn hence the experience of working internationally. I have learned a lot of tricks to enhance learning and make learning fun along my journey. I inform you honestly about what you can do to take your learning further and areas that need to be improved (broken into achievable steps). I know with time, devotion and belief in yourself, you can accomplish what you set out to do.

English speaking, English conversation skills and presentation

Sometimes you are confident with knowing a lot of English but what opportunities have you had to speak it?
My class provides one-to-one opportunities to speak to me (a native English speaker) I can give you constructive feedback and points to improve on. It can be difficult to get talking and overcoming that initial shyness especially when you fear speaking in a language you are not used to. I will find a way to get you to overcome those hurdles and provide a useful soundboard to hear yourself improve in your pronunciation, grammar and elocution. I can support with helping you with speaking in public.
I recommend short sessions of 30 mins if you are a beginner, or when you start out (you will feel tired to begin with) and then build up to an hour and then 90 minutes as your confidence grows. I can negotiate 2 hours if you want to practise for ielts or advanced PTE. (I would highly recommend that you use me as a resource for this - to sharpen your speaking skills)
NB: I have undertaken the PTE advanced, I can see where there are trials for a non-native English speaker. I can emulate the test and support you in this, one of the more challenging area.

Qualified Primary Teacher (teach all primary school subjects to all ages and abilities from 5 to 12 years)

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.
