About Me

I am a friendly and outgoing person who loves to share life with my students.
I can talk about almost any topic all day because I love to hear about the things other people are interested in.
I have lived abroad 3 times, living as a student in Japan and studying Japanese culture, and now teaching English around Europe while based in the Czech Republic.
When I have time, I love to cook food from different countries, go for a run or hike, and then come home to play video games (PC/Switch) or read. When I don't have time, it's popcorn and Netflix! I am also a "forever student"- currently studying A2 Czech, JLPT N2, and Game Development, so feel free to ask me anything!

One of my greatest joys is seeing my students succeed in English, and I have even taken students from low level to preparing for both Cambridge Exams and year-long Study Abroad experiences! I make a personal commitment to every student I teach, and so many of my students stay with me for years. Even after our classes finish, I always tell my students, "I will always be your teacher." I believe this with my whole heart, and students often message me years later to ask for my advice on work, or to tell me about their succesful trip abroad.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.
