I have 15+ years ESL/EFL teaching experience in Asia, Europe and South Africa, both in-class and online. I have a degree in Chemical Engineering, as well as 5 year corporate and industry experience, including Project Management.

I possess a Tefl-c (tefl plus young learner extension), M.Ed in progress, with over 4 years teaching children at Elementary school and with Disney English. I completed 2.5 years with Wall Street English in Shanghai (mainly Business, General English and IELTS prep), a year and a half at Bandirma University (Intensive English and English for Special Purposes), 4+ years as a Business Language Coach and English for Academic Purposes at NJUCM.

Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.

My methodology: Learning to structure one's thoughts to express oneself better
My approach is based on a simple observation: success is not achieved through lack of effort, but often through a lack of method and confidence. My role is to transform subjects sometimes perceived as abstract (Philosophy, French) or intimidating (English) into concrete tools for success.

The typical course of a session:
1. Quick diagnosis: We start by identifying the areas of uncertainty from the previous lesson or the difficulties with a specific exercise.
2. Taking action: No boring lectures! We work on concrete exercises, essay plans or oral practice (in English) to "learn by doing".
3. The "Montreal Method": Having worked for two and a half years in Quebec, I use a North American pedagogy that is very focused on encouragement, clear structure and student autonomy.
4. Summary & Objectives: We end each session with a recap of the key points so that the student knows exactly what to revise.
