CAD software has increasingly gained importance in various industries, including engineering, architecture, product design, and manufacturing. The use of CAD software has revolutionized the way designers and engineers work by providing them with powerful tools to create, modify, and analyze designs in a virtual environment. This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software, its tools, and its applications. The course will cover the fundamentals of 3D CAD, including modeling, drafting, rendering, and animation. Students will learn to use CAD software to create and edit complex designs, such as mechanical parts, layouts, and product prototypes.

CAD allows creating pieces or parts and put them together to conceive machines, ships, buildings and anything imaginable. Creating a 3D model is the first step to 3D printing, CNC machining and fabrication in general. Also it is necessary to do simulations or calculations using a myriad of techniques. FreeCAD is a free and open source software that follows the parametric design paradigm. That conception in design is the same in many other CAD software, like, for example, CATIA, Roadworks, Solid Edge, Inventor and Fusion360, just to mention some of them. This means that once we have acquire a good basis in creating pieces and assemblies in FreeCAD, adapt to any other of the former mentioned would take a bunch of hours.

This course provides an introduction to remote sensing, which is the acquisition of information about Earth objects or phenomena from sensors located on platforms such as satellites, aircraft or drones. Remote sensing is used in many fields, such as geology, forestry, agriculture, climatology, cartography, urban planning and many others. Topics covered include: - Introduction to the key concepts of remote sensing (electromagnetic spectrum, spatial and temporal resolution, etc.) - Presentation of the different technologies and sensors most commonly used in the field (optical imaging, radar, lidar, etc.) - Learning methods for processing and interpreting remotely sensed data (classification, vegetation indices, etc.) - Spatial analysis and thematic mapping from remote sensing data

-Aerospace Engineering is one of the most strange fields of study that can be as it is very detailed and specialized by itself but opens a vast world of specialisations. When you will start your Bachelor you will see how diverse and amazing these studies can be. However, due to the numerous clausus, only a limited number of students is allowed to enter. -As I have successfully passed the entry exam and finalized my Bachelor (and done on the side the Honours Programme) I believe I can show to a wide range of students how to pass the entry exam and how to manage to study at TUDelft. -My classes will be about the required Mathematics (going also beyond with Calculus I), Physics (up to even preparing for university courses) and the infamous 1st year material. To understand how a product is manufactured, it is crucial to know about various manufacturing processes. The classes will be split into sheetmetals, plastics and machining processes. You will be learning the different processes, the design requirements for each processes, their advantages and limitations.
