My name is Clara, I’m 26 years old, and I currently live in Cuenca, Spain. For me, one of the most important things in a language class is that the student feels comfortable and relaxed from the very beginning.

Education
I have a B2 from Cambridge and a C1 from the British Council, and I am currently preparing for the C2. I have international experience in multilingual contexts and training in communication.
Experience / Qualifications
I am a native Spanish speaker with one of the most neutral accents in the peninsula, which makes understanding and learning much easier.
Although I’ve been learning English my whole life, what truly helped me master a foreign language was my international professional experience. I spent a year working in Florence (Italy), at the European University Institute—an international, multilingual environment where clear and precise English was essential to communicate with highly specialised professionals, including European Commissioners.
Later on, I continued my career as a trainee at the United Nations, where I further improved my communication skills in a wide range of professional and intercultural contexts.
These experiences not only strengthened my English, but also gave me a deep understanding of what it feels like to be a foreign student learning a new language: the doubts, the insecurity, the moments of confusion... and the most effective strategies to overcome them.
For this reason, my Spanish lessons are designed with empathy, clarity and the perspective of someone who has personally gone through the language-learning journey.

I studied English myself for years—in primary school, secondary school, and language academies—but it was living and working abroad that I truly understood what it means to communicate in another language... and to build a new version of yourself through it.
When that phase ended, I wanted to continue learning and challenging myself. This led me to work as an intern at the United Nations and, currently, to prepare for my C2 level English certification and B2 level French certification.
For me, learning a language is much more than getting a degree: it's a way to broaden your identity and your world. As Wittgenstein said, "The limits of my language are the limits of my world."
