About Me

I’m a qualified English and ESL teacher, as well as a theatre & drama educator and musician, with over 30 years of teaching experience from secondary school to university level, adult education, and private practice.
I specialise in helping people speak English with confidence and ease, particularly those who understand English but hesitate to speak. Drawing on my background in performance, voice, and creative learning, I create lessons where students can experiment, make mistakes, and grow in a relaxed, supportive, and encouraging environment.
My classes are fully adapted to individual needs, including conversation practice, confidence building, travel and everyday English, business and professional communication, exam preparation, and academic writing.
I teach primarily in English, and I can also use basic French for explanations or clarification when helpful. My approach is practical, human, and flexible — focused on real-world English, natural communication, and progress without pressure or perfection.
