I am interdisciplinary artist based in Glasgow, UK. Working across, film, moving image, photography and sculpture I have extensive experience teaching and mentoring online and I am passionate about sharing my skills and knowledge by helping other artists and student to develop theirs.

Contemporary Art Practice: mentoring for artists and students

This course is intended for adults who already have an art practice which they wish to expand and/or refine.

I offer 1/2 hour and 1 hour sessions online. Each session is tailored to YOU and can include:

* Feedback and advice on current work
* Guidance on developing your practice
* Portfolio preparation both for artworks and film/moving image work
* Mentoring specific projects (inc. writing project applications, developing proposals and planning production)
* Support in writing proposals, funding applications, and artist statements

I am an interdisciplinary artist working across film, moving image, installation, sculpture and photography my artworks have been exhibited nationally and internationally. This includes several major commissions including film and moving image works, limited edition prints, public installations and sculptures.

I have also been selected for competitive artists residences in, The Netherlands, Germany, Scotland and Croatia.

I have over 15 years experience teaching and mentoring including specialist experience in working internationally with students and artists online. In addition to my own practice I am Programme Leader for the MA Film Practice, an online degree with Arts University Bournemouth.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns.

Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Are you willing to learn drawing or painting? Do you wish to improve what you already know?

I graduated from an art school where I learned all the important classical techniques of drawing, painting and sculpture. I would like to pass on the knowledge I have acquired through my studies and practice and give those who so wish the opportunity to go on a journey into the world of art and improve their language and technique.
The lessons are open to all levels.

The techniques covered range from drawing with pencil, charcoal and pastel chalk to all painting styles (watercolor, oil, acrylic, tempera). You have the opportunity to experiment on different types of paper (with different weights and colors) and canvases.

The topics change from lesson to lesson and can range from the human body to the landscape to the wildlife, depending on your preferences and desires.

Particular attention is paid to the method so that the finished work is clean, pleasant and as expressive as possible.

I teach classes in artistic drawing, painting, sculpture and creative strategies. For all levels.

I offer accompaniment so that students are able to learn to look, decipher meanings and create their own pieces of personal expression.

I work with both a historical and contemporary approach. With my methodology, students acquire the tools to create their own artistic languages. Plastic, visual and audiovisual aspects are worked on, both analog and digital.

This combination of art and English class will help children explore their creative ability and, at the same time, gain new language skills.

We can discuss any medium you want your child to explore and I will create a suitable lesson for each class. Tailored classes with interesting artistic topics will provide extra motivation for students and encourage them to remember various information from the class.

Mis clases se adaptan a cada estudiante:

Niños: trabajamos con actividades lúdicas y creativas que estimulan la imaginación, el color y la experimentación con diferentes materiales.
Adultos: me enfoco en la técnica, la práctica consciente y la construcción de un estilo propio, respetando el ritmo y objetivos de cada persona.

Enseño diversas disciplinas artísticas: dibujo a lápiz, coloreado, pintura en varias técnicas (acuarela, acrílico, óleo), ilustración digital, así como la creación de personajes y escenarios. With a Master's degree from TAI School, and having taught two courses there since 2024, I now offer one-on-one tutoring to help you improve your writing and let your ideas take flight. As an American with real-world Hollywood production experience (on films like The Neon Demon and the Oscar-winning Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), I bring not only a solid foundation in narrative and storytelling, but also practical insight into how your writing influences production, performance, and even financing.

Classes for university students, from beginner to advanced levels, in 3D modeling, rigging, and character and creature animation. 20 years of professional experience at Los Bionicos Animation Studio, working on various video games in Japan and Hong Kong.

Este seminario de 6 clases propone un recorrido profundo por la vida y la obra de Andrei Tarkovski, uno de los directores más grandes e influyentes de la historia del cine.

Clase 1: Biografía y formación
Se abordará su infancia, su crianza en un entorno católico dentro de la Unión Soviética, el contexto social y cultural de la época, su formación como estudiante de cine y sus primeras películas. El objetivo es comprender de dónde nace su mirada artística y espiritual.

Clases 2 a 6: Filmografía y lenguaje cinematográfico
Se realizará un análisis completo de su obra, siguiendo un recorrido cronológico por sus películas para identificar temas, obsesiones y transformaciones a lo largo del tiempo.
Trabajaremos su estilo y lenguaje cinematográfico:
– el tiempo y el ritmo
– las atmósferas
– la memoria
– los símbolos
– lo espiritual
– la construcción de sentido a través de la imagen

También se abordarán dos ejes fundamentales:
– la censura del Estado y su relación conflictiva con las instituciones soviéticas
– la presencia del cristianismo y la espiritualidad en su cine

El seminario está orientado al análisis narrativo, estético y simbólico, no técnico, y busca desarrollar una mirada más profunda y reflexiva sobre el cine de autor.

Está dirigido tanto a personas sin conocimientos previos como a estudiantes, realizadores y amantes del cine que quieran comprender mejor la obra de Tarkovski y su importancia en la historia del cine.
