I am a student of the double degree of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education at the Autonomous University of Madrid. I'm in the fifth grade and I love my degree (in which I have an A average). Also, I am finishing my studies at level C1 of English. I have been giving private classes to elementary school children for more than 6 years and in recent years also to secondary school. The boys and girls that I have been able to help have successfully managed to raise their grades (I can show it if it is of interest to you). For several years I have had cases of students with ADHD, so I have tools to be able to propose personalized sessions covering the needs they require. In addition, I have repeatedly worked as a babysitter and as a children's basketball coach. I adore children and I really enjoy spending time with them. I am a very responsible, educated, hard-working and disciplined girl. In addition to my academic and work life, I work hard in my sports life (in which I am a semi-professional basketball player). Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice.
