About Me

Having lived in foreign countries for about half of my life has given me the opportunity to learn English and meet people from all around the world. This is why I want to share the power of the English language with you because isn’t it just great to be able to watch your favourite movies without subtitles, travel around the world and have a large variety of jobs available to you. English truly opens up so many opportunities for you and I hope to be the friendly face to introduce you to all this. I’m a very patient person who likes to specialize the lesson to your interests and use current events that are happening to make the lesson as engaging as possible.

Education

I have my IGCSE’s and finished my A levels in English literature, geography, economics and business, which is the English high school system. In addition to this I have a bachelor in Communication and Life Sciences and a master's in Global Communication and Diversity.

I have completed the TEFL 120-hour teaching English course which is a highly accredited organization and has given me the knowledge necessary to teach in an engaging and efficient manner.

I'm a native english speaking CELTA qualified teacher, with 3 years experience. Gained my IHCYLT in 2018.

I specialize in tutoring English for Young Learners and school exams, especially Cambridge English Starters-Flyers.

I can also teach FCE examination classes.

I can teach anything from complete beginners to teenagers looking to take cambridge examinations.

Before emigrating, I worked full time as a publisher for a UK business to business magazine publishing house. My work involved me travelling the world frequently, communicating with business professionals from the USA and Canada, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

My lessons are tailored to your individual needs, whatever they may be, and to ensure you gain the confidence to communicate effortlessly. I study how you like to learn and which parts of your language need work. Then each lesson is given either face to face or online at your pace. Mathematics and English are the most important subjects in secondary school.
That does not mean that everyone has it easy and that is completely normal.
Some subjects were also as difficult for me as learning to tie a shoelace at age 6.
It seemed impossible at the time, but now it's hard to imagine you ever had a problem with that.
That is exactly what I want you to experience just like that by making every lesson count (pun intended :D).
The lesson is mainly focused on what you have trouble with.
The first lesson will therefore be partly acquaintance, partly trial lesson with the subject in question.
Then we will work step by step.
Both HAVO and VWO level.

PS: I just happened to be good at Mathematics and English, but I still don't understand what supply and demand is.
