Hi! I’m Sidra. I study and work in the art sector, and I love learning about different cultures. I'm a native Turkish and Arabic speaker, fluent in English, and learning Spanish. In my Turkish language class, we don’t just learn words; we also discuss travel, traditions, daily life, and the arts. If you enjoy deep conversations and want to explore language through culture, let’s connect!

I hold a master's degree in Islamic Art from Istanbul University, the most recent program I have completed.
I have experience teaching Turkish and Arabic to children from various regions around the world

As a student of Comparative Linguistics and Applied Foreign Languages, I give private tuition in Turkish. I was the tutor of Turkish at the University of Nantes in 2012. I had groups of students of different ages and backgrounds. I can teach in English or in French.

For those of you who want a more practical approach to learning everyday Turkish, who want to pursue a conversation and make meaning of the news, my classes should be easy and fun.
I also find short but specific written homework assignments useful.

Here is the pathway we will follow in our lessons!
We will start our lessons by learning the most basic skills such as correct pronunciation and simple grammar rules.
We will continue to improve our speaking, listening and grammar levels by learning new informations step by step.
Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
