I am a trained singer- songwriter & professional musician with a BA (hons) in Composition. Originally from london I moved to Brussels to do my masters degree. I am a trained singing with a level of grade 8, I have also spent the last 6 years touring as a front women and also a backing singing with various artists around europe, including 1 top 10 artist. I understand that although it's great to have a strong technique it's also about letting go and having confidence in your ability so you can relax in the moment. I welcome students of all levels and all ages and teach a range of genres from Jazz to Rock. Alternatively I am happy to focus on technique if that is something you prefer to work on. Hi, my name is Jeremy and I’m a specialist in funk bass guitar. I've been playing and learning music for 15 years, having performed and composed with many groups and ensembles across England and Belgium and am currently playing professionally in Brussels. I am confident I can teach you how to reach any of your goals while having fun in the process. I have a lot of experience helping intermediate & beginner players improve as well as experience in many different styles of music. Examples of what you might learn include: - The basics and advice for beginners - What makes a good bassline - Learning songs that you like - Essential music theory for bass & more advanced techniques (eg: melodic techniques, rhythmic, slap bass, etc) - improvising, jamming and playing with others Appropriate homework/exercises and recordings are provided during lessons. Max is a visual programming language to create audio (and video) art. Almost like with LEGO, you connect different building blocks with each other and create an audio (or video) circuit. I have years of experience in making programs in Max and want to share this knowledge. I start from the basics and make sure that the programming is also theoretically substantiated: I want you not only to put something in, but also to understand why something works. That extra knowledge helps you work faster as you move forward. For a program that focuses more on audio, I use Ableton. I have been using this program for my own music production for about ten years and know the program inside out.

For the advanced level people I ask to send me your recording up to date and give you the online feedback. Kanako is the winner of several competitions: at the Piara Competition and the National Piano Competition in Chiba (Japan) special mention in the interpretation of modern work at the International Piano Competition "Claude Bonneton", 4th at the Brest Piano Competition (Chopin category) ) in 2013, she won the 2nd unanimously at the International Piano Competition "Teresa Llacuna" in France. In 2018-2019 she was a visiting professor (accompanist) at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen, currently she lives in Brussels, and plays regularly in concert solo and chamber music, and participates in artistic projects.

Being naturally very skilled in sight-reading of music scores, I've realized numerous times how helpful and enjoyable can be to posses that "gift". This course is for anyone that's interested to play the saxophone at any level, from the very beginners to students interested in more advanced topics such as improvisation, both in unconventional ways or more founded on the tradition of Jazz. The course will be adapted to the pupils goals and level, with a demanding but not overpowering approach. The frequency can also be optimized to the pupil's necessities: weekly, bi-weekly or monthly (not less). I believe that the main goal of a mentor should ultimately to make the pupil become his own teacher and establish an empatic two-way learning process.
