Hi, I'm a current UCL student studying Management Science, who's always loved maths! My teaching style is very individualised, and it is something I've built up during lockdown, whilst tutoring students aged 4 to 17. I like to draw upon data a lot and will utilise spreadsheets and other tools to objectively track progress, but will always prioritise what the student themselves think they need best. To achieve this, I'll schedule 1-on-1 meetings, emphasise varying teaching methods depending on the student and fuse that with the data I collect to get a holistic view of the students strengths and weaknesses. I look forward to working with you all in the future!

Je suis actuellement étudiant à CentraleSupélec, en échange académique à l'Imperial College London.

Je propose des cours de Mathématiques et Physique-Chimie pour des élèves au collège, lycée ou en études supérieures.

J'ai déjà de l'expérience en tant que professeur particulier. En effet, j'ai donné des cours à des collégiens et à des lycéens en filière scientifique.
J'adapte mes séances aux préférences et au niveau de l'élève. Généralement, je revois d'abord le cours de son professeur avec lui afin de m'assurer la bonne compréhension des notions de base. Ensuite, l'élève fait des exercices (de son choix si son professeur lui en a donné en devoir ou que je choisis moi-même). Je le laisse réfléchir aux questions tout en essayant de le guider pour donner du rythme à la séance. Mon objectif principal est de donner à l'élève une méthodologie et une rigueur scientifique qui lui serviront dans tous les chapitres, à tout niveau de ses études. Si l'élève est à l'aise avec le chapitre et me le demande, je lui donne des exercices plus complexes afin de le préparer au mieux aux examens et aux études supérieures sélectives.

I have been a tutor for college and high school students for 3 years now, in private lessons and group tutoring. I am particularly attentive to students who lack confidence or have learning difficulties, and I am always happy to adapt to them and show them that they are capable.
I have met a lot of students who were convinced they were not cut out for math, but who ultimately just needed help in clarifying their mathematical thinking, and who eventually turned to higher scientific studies.

A good teacher is above all a good pedagogue.

I teach maths, physics, chemistry and science.
My students come from all walks of life, from disadvantaged backgrounds and from the best schools in France and the UK.
My approach is pragmatic and based on a real close relationship, which is essential to train and motivate the student.

Methodology :

After an initial diagnosis during the intake, I establish quantified objectives to which I commit.
The courses are tailored to the expectations and needs of the student and parents.

Between each lesson, exercises are given and then corrected in order to follow the evolution of progress.
Finally, I will anticipate the lessons of the school program, so that when the teacher starts a new chapter in class, the student already has a first apprehension of the course before the other students, allowing him to have more understanding and ease.

In the year 2021, 100% of my final year students passed their bac (A Levels), 60% of them with honours or very good. Many have gone on to enter top business and engineering schools.

As far as my background is concerned, I first studied medicine and then went on to study engineering in the field of civil engineering.
After graduating with a Master's degree, I went on to teach in a private secondary school in France, where I am perfectly familiar with the new secondary school programmes.

French can be hard to learn especially if you don't have some motivation to do it. This is why I think that helping people learning it can make people appreciate the process of learning. A private tutor and coach for 10 years, I created my own coaching method with my colleagues Thibault and Charlie. We support many students full-time, systematically ensuring progress of at least 4 points on their average.

What allows the student to really progress is the repetition of the exercises to have automatisms. The student's problem is not only to understand the course, but to be sufficiently motivated and supervised on a daily basis to effectively integrate the methods, with automatisms and rigorous writing.

In addition to private lessons, we offer daily remote monitoring which is based on 3 strengths:

1. Create a work framework and routine: we help the student plan their weekly work and send them the necessary exercises, corrections and course materials.

Here is how our students are supported:

After an initial discovery call, the student takes an initial course with their tutor to take stock of their situation, identify their state of mind (motivation levers, confidence) and their room for improvement (gaps, methods not mastered, inaccurate writing, careless or calculating errors).

Depending on the student's assessment, the tutor recommends a tailor-made formula combining private lessons, adapting the number of hours per week and daily remote support.

Daily support focuses on training in REAL CONDITIONS: alone, without course materials or a teacher and with limited time.

The student then sends us their copy, and we provide them with a rigorously written answer key, the corrections for their copy, and their grade the same day. They can then immediately learn from their mistakes and redo the assignment perfectly. The goal is to learn automatically.

Through repetition, this method allows the student to:

- Never get stuck on a question during a DST again
- Improve your time management, by getting used to working in real conditions
- To improve the rigor of its writing
- To reduce the number of careless mistakes

In addition to the training sessions, each coach supports the student through private lessons or telephone coaching sessions, depending on their challenges. Coaching sessions provide time management advice, review work completed, and define future goals.

This monitoring allows us to be as close as possible to the student in their revision, being contactable at any time and being very responsive in correcting their copies.

This method allows us to guarantee a rapid increase in grades: on average, +4 points on the average in less than 6 months (see the numerous testimonials).

The results of this method compared to traditional private lessons are significantly superior. It has allowed many students to go from an average of 11-12 to over 16.

You also have real-time access to the student's work schedule and monitoring of their progress (grades, exercises worked on, concepts and methods acquired) so that you can have an overview of the work carried out and your child's progress.
