I am a qualified Intermediate to Senior Phase teacher, having completed an Education degree with Honours, in South Africa. I have obtained Dutch (DUO) accreditation for my qualifications. I am an NVO (Dutch professional association for pedagogues and educationalists) registered practitioner. My specialisation subjects are English, history and visual art. I am trained to teach Mathematics to students up to the age of about 12 years old. I have completed a Master’s in Pedagogical Sciences in the Netherlands, which focused on supporting children with various types of special needs, whether academic, social or emotional. I am enthusiastic about interacting with and guiding young people to develop educationally and socially.

I love watching the development of children's and students' learning over time.
An eagerness to learn is valued.
I have trained at a number of schools in South Africa, and was formally employed for two years. I have taught a wide range of students and encountered various student abilities and learning styles.
I like to use different types of books, texts and other media to teach language and social studies. I prefer a structured approach towards primary school mathematics. Arts are always open to many creative possibilities.
