All ages welcome — from kids to adults. I’ve worked with beginners, advanced learners, and neurodivergent students (including autism & dyslexia). My goal is to make learning both effective and enjoyable.

Expect structured lessons, a focus on real progress, and a space where you feel supported. From grammar to fluency, writing to pronunciation, we’ll tackle what matters to you. The lessons don't have to be at your home, we can be at a park or grab a coffee or tea, even just take a walk - the important part is letting you enjoy learning. So wherever you feel comfortable.

Hi!
My name is Esther, I'm 27 years old and both English and Spanish are my mother tongue because I grew up in a personal Spanish context and in American schools. I'm learning Dutch and I also know French and some Italian.

I have had my academic education in countries such Finland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, and Spain; and I have lived in 8 countries, the aforementioned and Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Spain.

Due to my background and my knowledge of languages, I understand what it is to be a language learner, as well as the importance of acknowledging different cultural contexts. My main goal in my lessons (aside from the obvious objective of improving your English and/or Spanish) is for you to enjoy the actual learning process. I infuse my lessons with creativity and adaptability. We have objectives that we will certainly obtain, but we will get to them with a solid foundations that will go beyond your lessons with me. It's important to me that you learn in a positive environment that motivates you to go out into the world with your newfound language expertise.

Education

I hold a BA in English Studies, a Master’s in Education, and a second Master’s (MSc) from Ghent University. I first trained as a language teacher, then specialized further in neurolinguistics through the EMCL program — a competitive Erasmus Mundus master’s focusing on how the brain processes language and how we learn it. These studies deepened my understanding of language development across different learners, including those with learning differences like dyslexia or language processing challenges. I’ve also worked with neurodivergent students, including people with autism, and I always aim to create an inclusive and flexible environment that fits individual learning needs. My path has taken me through classrooms in Spain’s Official Language Schools, one-on-one tutoring, and course creation, and all ages ranging from children to retired adults.
