I am Italian, and I have recently completed my PhD in the United Kingdom, where I lived for many years. I have been teaching at university, and other settings, for several years. I have formal training in language teaching and education, and I am an associate fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I value interactive and collaborative learning, with lessons and objectives mutually agreed to best suit the needs of each learner. I like coming up with dynamic and stimulating activities, exploring authentic material like news, podcast, music and popular media. We can focus on any aspect of the language to suit your needs, be it for work, tourism, academics or simply to satisfy your curiosity!

I understand the struggle of learning a new “complicated” language as I myself am learning Danish. I understand that patience is crucial when teaching, being a Canadian English is my first language. Children learning in Government schools do not get environment conducive enough to learn English as their first language. I can help them learn conversing in English. Children from age 7, 8, 9 and 10 can benefit the most from this course. I use several fun methods to learn words and grammar rules. Solving crosswords, learning poems, songs can be some fun ways to learn specially for kids. Moreover the classes are online so we need not worry about Corona. Classes will be once a week and I do not allow more than 5 kids at a time. This enables everybody to get ample opportunity to converse and participate.
