FRENCH (English below) Violin lessons are for everyone, regardless of age – you can start from the age of 2. The only requirement is that you own an instrument; for children, I can help you choose the right size and explain everything clearly. Classes are tailored to each student—you can start with the basics, work on existing material, or expand your skills. I also offer piano lessons, music theory, and ear training. With regular practice, you'll learn to play cleanly, rhythmically, and with pleasure. In my teaching, I combine musical experience, passion, and psychological knowledge to make lessons effective and engaging. I offer lessons at home or in my space in Lancy, and the duration of the lessons is adapted to the needs of each student. Patient, pedagogical, and attentive to the student's needs, my lessons are structured to help them progress quickly. My motivation for teaching stems from a desire to share my passion for music with everyone. In my courses, practice and theory have an equal place: technical exercises, clarifications in solfège, chamber music and simple pieces then more complex depending on the student's level and desires. Indeed you are however free to choose what you wish to work on, to propose pieces as well as to deepen a particular point, a specific technique for the most experienced. Having started playing this instrument at the age of six, my deep attraction to music developed gradually through chamber music and the orchestra. Currently, I give private and group lessons (from musical awakening to more advanced levels) as well as concerts in different venues (churches, performance halls, hospitals, retirement homes). I attended the CRR of Rueil-Malmaison where I obtained my Diploma of Musical Studies (DEM) a few years ago, then the Geneva University of Music (HEM) where I obtained my Bachelor's degree. Afterwards, I studied in Stockholm at the Royal Academy of Music (KMH). For about ten years now, I have been acquiring My experience in teaching cello and music theory is constantly evolving and requires ongoing self-reflection and a degree of adaptation. My students are of all ages and skill levels.

Master of Arts in Art Theory-Music pedagogy and Solfeggio -Piano - Electronic Music Producer SAETranslate this text using Google Translate.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to express my strong interest in the position of Music Teacher. With more than twenty five years of experience in music education, performance, and artistic development, I bring a deep passion for teaching and a holistic approach to music as both a discipline and a form of personal expression. Throughout my career, I have worked with students of different ages, levels, and cultural backgrounds, supporting them in building strong technical skills while encouraging creativity, confidence, and emotional connection to music. My teaching philosophy is based on the belief that music education should inspire curiosity and joy, alongside structure, discipline, and artistic integrity. In addition to my teaching work, I am an active musician whose compositions and performances have reached an international audience through platforms such as SoundCloud. Listener feedback consistently highlights the emotional depth, originality, and atmospheric quality of my music, often describing it as expressive, cinematic, and deeply moving. This ongoing interaction with a global audience enriches my teaching, allowing me to share real-world artistic experience with my students and encourage them to develop their own authentic musical voice. I have also contributed to collaborative artistic projects, including volunteer work composing and creating music for the Geneva theatre production Monolog 2020. This experience strengthened my ability to work in interdisciplinary environments and deepened my understanding of how music supports storytelling, stage performance, and emotional expression. I consider creativity an essential part of both my professional and personal life. Outside of music, I enjoy painting, which further develops my sense of color, form, and expression—elements that strongly influence my musical interpretation and teaching. I am also passionate about skiing, a sport that reflects values I bring into my work: focus, discipline, perseverance, and the ability to adapt to changing conditions with confidence and calm. Over the years, I have developed a flexible, student-centered teaching approach, adapting methods to individual learning styles and goals. My experience includes individual and group instruction, performance preparation, and long-term artistic mentoring. I value collaboration with colleagues, clear communication with students and parents, and continuous professional growth. I would be honored to contribute my experience, creativity, and dedication to your institution. I am confident that my background as both a teacher and an active artist would allow me to make a meaningful contribution to your educational environment. Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to further discuss my experience and teaching philosophy. Yours sincerely,

“ I have had French lessons with Marianne for several months now. The lessons are always great. Marianne has very friendly teaching style that makes the lessons fun while still really productive. She has the flexibility and understanding to adjust to the needs and skill level of the student, and the patience to guide and motivate even the slowest learners (read: me). Strongly recommended! ”

“ I had my first lesson with Sofia! She's an amazing teacher. She took time to investigate what my goals were and created a very relaxed and positive atmosphere for the class. The exercises and explanations she gave me were also challenging but perfect for my level. I can't wait for the next class to come! :) ”

“ This was the first lesson for our daughter and we plan to have a lesson every week. Christel was very friendly. patient and kind. She immediately put our daughter at ease and she now can't wait for her next lesson. ”
